i hope everyone is having a good summer so far!!! i am happy to tell you that Fall Soccer Sign-ups are open. here is the link for you to go to register. if you have any questions, please let me know and i can walk you through.

i will close registration as of Aug 18th and we will pick teams Aug 19th or 20th. first game will be Sept 8th bc we have to wait for the pool to be closed to be able to use the concession stand. Games will be on Sundays; practices will be determined once the coaches pick their teams.
We will have a sign-up sheet again for the concessions sheet once the schedules are made like we did last year, this way you can pick the day that you want to do your time in the concession stand. Every parent needs to take a turn in the concession stand per child.

We are going to host a Referee class at our field on 3 different days… if anyone is interested in taking the ref class please sign up… attached in the comments will be the steps you will have to take after you do the steps under this message…the cost is $65 per person…
The dates are as followed and times all at Moore Field on the bottom field… anyone starting at the age of 13 can sign up to ref….
April 13th. 12-3
April 17th. 6pm-9pm
April 20th 12-3
***Attached is the new referee packet on how to complete registration when becoming a new referee. They will have to complete the required online lessons within the oms referee system, as well as upload all of their current clearances. If the referee is under the age of 18 years old the clearances they will need to complete is the Affidavit, PA Child abuse clearance, Pa background check. If over the age of 18 thy will need PA Child abuse, PA criminal check, FBI Clearances, and SafeSport.
For a new referee, when they have completed all the required online lessons lesson the system will then allow them to select the available In-person class. After the risk management team will review and approve to send their badges out in the mail.**
For those of you who have asked, we have pulled together some high level bullet points that describe the duties of each position. Please keep in mind that this is not everything, but should give you an idea on what each position requires commitment wise. ALL of these positions need filled for the organization to continue on after January 2024.

Board of Director Roles
The number of board members will vary by club. The core positions are typically President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Registrar.
President:
The President is responsible for the overall success and growth of an organization. He or she runs the meetings. He or she should facilitate discussions and votes.
Sets and Leads Monthly Meetings as well as reserving meeting space.
Attends PA West President Meetings
Maintains permits thru the city. Once a year.
Measures and paints field lines roughly two to three times a month.
Maintains inventory and purchase of equipment.
Holds seasonal draft picks for teams.
Creates ALL schedules (game, pictures, concession stand)
Orders trophies
Is available for all soccer seasons to ensure things are running appropriately.
Responds to conflicts on the field.
Assists in ordering food for concession stand which includes pick-up and stocking.
Tasked with gathering coaches and volunteers,setting up training sessions, and ensuring the coaches are upholding the club’s standards when interacting with and coaching youth players.
Work closely with the Treasurer to ensure the team’s expenses are aligned with the budget.
Assists with scheduling referees
Vice President:
The Vice President collaborates closely with the President to carry out the organization’s core initiatives and can stand-in for the President if he or she is absent from a meeting, vote or event.

tasked with distributing and depositing funds as needed.
