Join Campus Recreation, the Stress Free Zone, and Pitt Program Council in celebrating International Yoga Day on the Cathedral Lawn on Thursday, June 27 at 7:00pm. Students can sign up in the Pitt Program Council office located in the WPU in room M-30. Registration starts Wednesday, May 15, and tickets for the event are free with a $5 refundable upon attendance of the event. All Pitt Program Council events are open to undergraduate Pitt students with a valid (Oakland) Student ID. Students with disabilities are encouraged to contact the Pitt Program Council at [email protected] or by phone at 412-648-7900 for proper accommodations.

Established in 1981, is a club-level sport at the University’s Oakland campus. The Men’s Rugby Club is a member of Pitt Club Sports, and a SORC certified student organization. The club has a membership of over 40 undergraduate men, and fields competitive A and B sides, as well as offering a strong social and community service aspect.
Competing at USA Rugby’s Collegiate DI-AA level, the Men’s Rugby Club is a member of the Mid-American Conference(MAC), one of the most competitive D1-AA conferences. In addition to the 15’s season in the fall semester, the club also participates in tournaments and exhibition matches in both 15’s and 7’s rugby in the spring, sending a competitive 7’s side to the MAC Championship tournament. Accomplishments from last season:
- Secured second place as a team in the mid-Atlantic region.
- Ranked among the Top 20 platinum level teams at nationals.
- Sophomore Paige Harris qualified for the all-around finals at the national competition.
- Welcomed Sydney DeVore, a full-time medical student, to our competition team.
- Sophomore Rachel Marcus achieved third place all-around in the mid-Atlantic region for level platinum.
- Junior Emilia Ferretti earned third place all-around in the mid-Atlantic region for level eight.
- Clinched first place as a team at the previous Ohio State University competition.

Our Climbing Wall student staff were excited to have Dean (University of Pittsburgh Alumni ’09) owner of host a route setting clinic this past weekend. Dean’s first experience with indoor climbing was at Trees Hall in the 1credit Rec class that he took in Fall ’08. Be sure to stop by the climbing wall to check out the new routes!
