Hav-a-Rain Garden has installed over 100 rain gardens in 10 years -- and welcomes everyone who wants to learn how to do it, whether they want to help run the program in Haverford or start a program in their own communities.
The first coordination web meeting for fall gardens is tomorrow -- Wed, July 17 -- at 7 pm. Email [email protected] and with the subject “Rain Garden Team” and tell them you want to join the core rain garden team. You'll receive the meeting link.

Dragonflies are members of a group of organisms called benthic macroinvertebrates, also known as “macros," and because macroinvertebrates spend most or all of their lives in the water, they are great indicators of water quality and pollution.

Recognized as a state and national leader in waste reduction and recycling, the remainder of PRC's work focuses on litter and visual blight prevention, watershed awareness, and composting. PRC sponsors many Hard-to-Recycle, E-Waste, Household Chemical and Pharmaceutical Collections throughout Pennsylvania every year. Our anti-littering programs attract thousands of participants throughout the year. In the Philadelphia region, PRC is involved in several watershed protection programs. We are educating homeowners about the connection between impaired streams and creeks and storm water runoff.
