The members of Chapter 65, VVA, Pittsfield MA want to thank Fran Tremblay and Larry Caprari for their decades long service to our Chapter and Community. They are the glue that kept our chapter together and devoted many many hours to our Veterans of the Vietnam War. For their dedication and service we are most grateful.
The continuation of our mission depends upon you and your commitment and contributions. We are a last man standing organization. Let’s keep Chapter 65 going until there are no more Vietnam Veterans. Let’s honor all who fought the battle and honor those who came before us, and Jimmy Callahan of whom this chapter is named.

90 years old and still going strong!!!
Willie Nelson is a phenomenon. He is also a nonagenarian – he turned ninety on 29 April 2023. Watch him perform 👇👇👇

I am pleased to announce that the dedication ceremony of
“Lest We Forget “ the Vietnam War mural will be held on
Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 10:00 am in the First St. parking lot
facing Eagle St. All are invited to attend.
The mural has the faces of the men who died in service from the Berkshires and some veterans who returned home. It is the third rendition of the original mural on First St., dedicated in 1991. This mural replaces the one on West Housatonic St. Pittsfield that fell into disrepair.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the dedication ceremony on July 7 for
“Lest We Forget “ mural to be placed in the First Street parking lot, has been postponed until further notice.
It will be rescheduled.

Attention! Western Massachusetts and other interested people.
Tomorrow is July 4th and Pittsfield once again is having its Fourth of July celebration and Parade!
Leading the parade is the color guard from
James E Callahan Chapter 65, Vietnam Veterans of America, followed by color guards from other veteran groups from the Berkshires. There will also be balloons, floats and marching bands. The parade steps off from the corner of South St and East Housatonic at 10:00 sharp, and ends at Wahconah Park.

On Friday at 10:00 the new mural of “Lest We Forget “ will be unveiled at the First St parking lot across from Eagle St. This is the 2nd rendition of the mural that originally was at 101 First St. The current one on West Housatonic and South St has faded and fallen into disrepair. Many generous people and businesses have contributed to the fund to have it redone. We are most grateful to all who donated to this beautiful tribute to our fallen Vietnam Veterans of Berkshire County.
All interested veterans and citizens are cordially invited to attend the ceremony this Friday.

If you value your freedom, thank a veteran. Men and women answered the call to serve our country and defend our constitution. Today, Veterans Day is when we honor and give our thanks to all who served, both in war and peace.
So if you see a veteran today, thank him or her for their service. 😊🇺🇸
God Bless America! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
