Hello everyone!

Thank you so much for bearing with us as we go through our transitional period. We are looking forward to share what we've been working on!

This year, we are moving INSIDE the Zion Lutheran Church of Pittsfield, performing in the beautiful Common Room! As always, admission is free, but we will be collecting donations to support next year's production.

Come join us for an hour of originally composed music and love scenes by Shakespeare!

*Note that October 1 performance is at 2PM*

Pittsfield Shakespeare in the Park announces that they will be returning for their seventh annual free production. This year they will be presenting William Shakespeare’s raucous, farcical, mixed up Comedy of Errors from August 11-August 28 on the First Street Common in Pittsfield, MA.

The cast will include about 10 actors. Auditions are currently being accepted virtually through June 3. Those interested in auditioning should visit pittsfieldshakespeare.org/audition.

Pittsfield Shakespeare in the Park veteran Patrick Toole will direct the show. The production will be taking place at the First Street Common, 100 First Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201 at its new showtime of 7:00pm. The play will run Thursdays through Sundays, August 11-28, 2022. The organization will continue its fruitful partnership with the Zion Lutheran Church of Pittsfield as its home base for rehearsals and as dressing areas during the shows.

About a week ago we closed our 2021 production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, in the round, at The Common Park! It was so delightful to see all of you there; some braving the hot and cold temperatures, and all supporting free, live, and accessible Shakespeare! We enjoyed sharing the magic with you!
