This was a wonderful presentation to honor Coach Guinn
This week Coach Guinn was honored and selected as the PISD Middle School Coach of the year. Woohoo! Congrats, Coach Guinn! Quite a year for you! We are so proud of you and the athletics department at Hendrick!
Last day of school and our last group of staff members: Elective Teachers! We have our Spanish, CTE, and AVID teachers represented. These are great enrichment classes offered to our students, some of which give high school credit. Thanks for all your hard work this year!
Day 2 of highlighting our amazing Special Education staff. Thank you for all you do! We couldn't meet the needs of all our students without you.
As we get to the end of this school year, we have to give a HUGE shoutout to our amazing Special Education team who have faced many challenges this year, especially enormous amounts of paperwork and procedures. What they do for our students is amazing, and they are all amazing people. Since this group is so large, we are dividing them up and highlighting them today and tomorrow. If you see any of them, thank them for their amazing perseverence this year.
We are so thankful for our two student support teachers: Ms. Young and Mrs. Blasius. Ms. Young helps students in numerous ways such as pulling them for extra academic support or helping them finish assignments that are ordue. Mrs. Blasius is the dyslexia teacher and 504 Coordinator. Both teachers play a crucial role in student success.
Time to return everything, students and families! We need chromebooks, chargers, classroom books, textbooks, library books, and anything else you can think of that belongs to Hendrick returned next week. Check out the flier for the schedule.
Here are some more slides about recycling and the environment from Mrs. Jones' and Mrs. Bosworth's classes.
From Coach Guinn:
"I would like to recognize our Hendrick Top 10 Athletes in the 7th and 8th grade.
(The top 10 testing consists of a 40 yard dash, vertical jump, bench press multi-rep max, squat multi-rep max. These results factored in with their Height/Weight determined our top 10) Zane Williams (8th Grade) set a new Hendrick MS Top 10 record with a score of 952. The record was held for 6 years by Daniel Jungerman."
Congratulations to all our athletes! Way to push ahead even in a very difficult year!
Yearbooks are in and handed out, and they are fantastic! What a creative yearbook for such a CRAZY year! There are some still for sale, first come first serve. Need to bring $40 cash to the front office. Thank you Mrs. Fuentes for all your hard work!
Here's another set up environmental facts from Mrs. Jones' science classes!
Mrs. Jones' science classes have done some environmental projects that we are sharing here, in Google Classroom, and through the announcements and signage. Different ones are highlighted in different places, so check them all out! We can make a difference for our Earth!
