This is a tough picture to share.

It’s been 3 years since I was handed this bear after they took our baby.🐻
It’s been 3 years since I had to leave our baby at the hospital.
It’s been 3 years of learning to live with the “new me”.

One thing has stayed constant… Benji had a purpose far beyond what we could comprehend.

In his absence, our family has donated over 500 Benji Bears to families across the world 🌎 who share the heartache of having a piece of their heart in heaven. BECAUSE OF YOU ALL 💙

While this pain comes and goes… the constant reminder that with the pain also comes joy knowing that no family will leave the hospital empty handed.

Many of you know we lost our 4th son Benjamin Stephen, still born in March of 2021.

Today is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness.

Since then we started a Foundation to donate Bears to moms in the hospital so they never had to leave the hospital empty handed.

It’s bittersweet that I have had the opportunity to help MANY moms and families in similar situations. The bears have provided comfort and a piece of their baby to bring home and remind them of that love ❤️

We do this all donation based!
And the need is huge.

The emptiness is gut wretching when you leave L&D with nothing to hold.

It’s been a long time in the making….

When I was in the hospital, they gave me a bear so I didn’t have to go home empty handed.

Throughout my short (but seemingly long) journey as a mother to a stillborn baby… I have made many friends who have been through my heartache. When I told them about this bear, they were amazed. They didn’t get anything like this. They left empty handed. NO MOM SHOULD EVER FEEL THAT PAIN.

While a bear will never replace a baby… it gave me something to carry. You never realize until you’re forced to realize… you crave that feeling of holding SOMETHING.

We made it our mission to donate as many bears 🐻 to as many hospitals that we could, in Benjamin’s honor.

Y’all are getting a first glimpse of what I hope will be a life-changing mission for moms everywhere ♥️

Happy Due-Date my little Angel 😇 we hope we’re making you proud!

On the 1 year Anniversary of our son, Benjamin’s birthday 🎈 we donated our first BIG BATCH of Benji Bears to the hospital he was born, Baptist Medical Center South 🥰

While our heart breaks that anyone could experience this pain - we hope leaving with a bear will help fill a little void in their arms.

This time if year is hard on grieving families. Sending light and love to all

“It was the night before Christmas and Santa was busy making his rounds
He was light on his feet making sure he didn't make a sound.

But he took notice that some homes didn't have that Christmas Glee.
so he decided to stop because he thought that just can't be.

He crept in a mommy's bedroom and stopped dead in his steps, as he saw a little angel hugging his mom as she slept

The little angel looked up and cried " oh Santa you are finally here!!
I've been waiting for you to help me let Mommy know I am near".

Santa picked up the wee angel and asked him " What can I do? I'm just a simple toy maker I can't make your mommy's dreams come true".

So the two of them sat and they sat for a while until the tiny angel jumped up and screamed with a smile.
"let's leave her a sign a beautiful sign from above,
let her know it's from me sent from heaven with love"!!!

So Santa dug and he dug deep, in that big glorious bag that was filled with lots of treats .

He pulled out a beautiful white feather that look like it was made out of snow.
And he thought such a beautiful sign that only a grieving mother would know.

He placed it on her nightstand and kissed the angel on his head.
Then placed him next to his mom as she slumbered in bed.

I think I'll stay here with Mommy and visit her in her dreams tonight,
She misses me dearly and needs to know I'm all right.

Santa made his way to his sled, And wiped a tear from his eye.
He fell to his knees and managed to cry.

Merry Christmas to all the grieving mothers across this big land.
And let it be known your angels are with you holding your hands....”

This makes my heart 💜both happy and sad.
Another bear going out to a mama feeling the pain of losing their baby. I am so happy we can provide some comfort during this time for her... but it breaks my heart she's feeling this pain.

Saturdays are hard for us.
I know they’ll get easier with time, but it’s a constant reminder.

We see the families with 4 kiddos.
We see the mom cheering on their youngest little boy while the 3 older brothers joke with him.

We see the family we “should have been”.
But we focus on the new type of family we are.
