We’re so thankful for everyone who is serving the Burnt Hickory community with us for PumpkinFest 🎃 From online candy donations to the 4th and 5th grade kiddos and Adult Special Needs classes stuffing candy bags for registration to the countless volunteers signing up to man inflatables and games and food tables at the event - this is truly a church-wide initiative to bring the local neighborhoods to our lawn and see how we can love them like Jesus 🫶😍

We beat the heat and played it cool at Stars and Strikes today 🎳 The 4th and 5th graders bowled some epic scores and raced to beat the clock to see how many arcade games they could squeeze into one hour 🤣⏰🎮 Check our stories + IG highlights for more pics!!

Each week we continue to plant the seeds of connection and cultivate a church home where your kids feel loved, included and important 🫶 Every child deserves to have someone know their name and show them the unconditional love of Christ - we hope they know they’ll receive that at 🩵

Help us celebrate our favorite vegetarian, Josie today - it is her birthday!! We’re so thankful for her fearless and heartfelt leadership, her love for the children of Burnt Hickory and her incalculable knowledge of The Office quotes 🖤🎂🫶

We are so grateful to the volunteers who come alongside us to lead and invest in the children of Burnt Hickory 🫶 Tonight was a great night at Leadership Summit - we shared a meal church-wide and had the opportunity to grow and learn more with like-hearted others who have answered the calling to welcome Jesus by welcoming the children 🤎

Another amazing week of BHBC Kids summer camp is in the books 🫶 We hosted 97 kiddos and 21 volunteers this past week at and made countless memories with every single one of them! 🩵

Water fun 💦💦💦 We just finished up our last swim of the summer and are getting ready for worship, canteen and the 6th grade ice cream bash with Radiate🍦

A little pre-bed time sugar rush with a s’mores inspired 🔥🍫 trail mix…. teddy grahams, mini marshmallows and chocolate chips!

The kids are having a blast and we are soaking up every precious moment with them!! More pics to come tomorrow ☀️

Summer campers in 3rd and 4th are hanging with Seth inside tonight while the rising 5th and 6th graders are hearing from student pastor Chip Paul at the campfire 🪵🔥 Everyone is digging deeper into Exodus 4 and learning about TRUSTING in God’s plan - even when it doesn’t look like OUR plan 🙏

It may be hot 🔥 but we’re staying cool at camp ❄️

Breakfast of champions 💪 We’re gearing up for a day of throwback camp songs, Seth-led activities 🙏 and April-fueled chaos. Oh yes, and of course lots of J E S U S 😍😍😍

We barely made it in time for dinner (hot dogs 🌭 for all those inquiring mamas) and now we’re cooling off with a pre-worship evening swim 💦

A little to two weeks ago 🗓️ when we were in the thick of an epic week of VBS and your kiddos stocked up Storehouse Ministries with over 3,000 canned and dry boxed foods 🎉🎉 What an incredible opportunity it was to have even the youngest members of our church be the hands and feet of Jesus for our community 🫶🏻

Vacation Bible School is wrapping up - we’ve got just one more day with these kiddos 🫶🏻 Today we extended the offer to pray and accept Jesus into their hearts and we had 90 (!!!) salvation decisions from first through fifth grade alone 🙏🏼❤️ Please continue to pray for the children that are still asking questions and the teachers that are providing answers, love and assurance.

To all the mamas out there, we just want you to know that you ROCK! 🪨🫶🏻🩷 Happy Mother’s Day!

A little of BHBC Kids ✂️ Cutting out over 100 paralyzed men for our preschoolers to learn about Jesus healing the man lowered through the roof in response to the man’s faith 🙏🏼 These hands-on crafts are essential to bringing Bible stories to life for our littlest members of the church.
