Welcome back learners! Fall Registration begins on Thursday, August 1 at 9:30 a.m. Register online via Reporter, call OLLI at 919-515-5782, or visit the McKimmon Center to sign up. If calling, please listen to voicemail instructions.

OLLI is excited to continue our collaboration with NC State College of Education's Lifespan Development Program for the Fall 2024 semester. Up to 20 OLLI members over the age of 65 have the opportunity to participate in the upcoming Psychology of Aging course.

IMPORTANT: this program is limited to 20 OLLI participants; to ensure the best experience for the NC State students, PLEASE make every effort to attend all seven sessions.

Despite rain and traffic, we had a fantastic time at last night’s End of Year Celebration and Instructor Appreciation Event. Many thanks to the members and instructors who joined us for a great party!

Happy Earth Day! Here's some of the ways OLLI at NC State explored our natural world this semester - exploring a private garden with plants from all over the world, weekly Friday hikes in Wake County, touring the Plant Sciences Building on campus, and volunteering at the Raleigh Parks and Rec greenhouse. Not to mention our courses about propagation, backyard pollinators, and more!

Note in the Pocket provides quality clothing to homeless and impoverished children and families with dignity and love. You will be sorting donations given to Note in the Pocket.We will also....

April 1-5 is Idea Week! You can submit ideas for course and lecture topics that you’d like to see become classes. These ideas will be shared with the program development subcommittees for consideration. Remember, the best way to ensure OLLI offers the programs that you want to participate in is to GET INVOLVED!

This week, seven volunteers spent time helping Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department get their Greenhouse ready for spring and other OLLI folks toured the Historic Oakwood Neighborhood with Raleigh Walking Tours, LLC.

Today is an OLLI favorite - the Seasonal Celebration! We love to kick off the winter season with merriment, snacks and laughs. OLLI spent a pleasant morning volunteering for JC Raulston Arboretum's Moonlight in the Garden! A group of 15 members helped prepare fresh luminaries for tonight's event :) Thanks to Pat and Diane for organizing this opportunity!

If you have a friend or family member you would like to introduce to OLLI at NC State, we encourage you to take advantage of our Guest Pass. Members are encouraged to bring a non-member guest to one session of a multi week course (that isn’t full) to introduce them to our program. If you want to bring a guest to one session of the multi week course you are enrolled in, please call our office to make sure that the course is not full. On the day that they attend with you, ask your class host for a BLUE CARD, have your guest complete it and return it to the class host. *Please note that guests are not allowed to attend one time lectures. We hope to see a friend trying out our program with you soon!
