Meet Sedrick Sweat Jr., a full-time student, where he is concentrating in Marketing and Innovation Management. Before joining the , Sedrick gained valuable experience as an Assistant Branch Manager at Enterprise Rent-A-Car and completed their management trainee program.
This summer Sedrick is a Brand Marketing Intern at S. C. Johnson in Racine, Wisconsin. He is focusing on sustainability and innovation. One of his favorite aspects of the internship is having the opportunity to network with different employees across different sectors of the business.
Sedrick is actively involved at NC State, too. He serves as the co-chair of the Graduate School Advisory Board, president of the Marketing Club within the MBA Student Association, an MBA Ambassador, and a Graduate Assistant in the admissions office for the Jenkins MBA program.
When was the last time a cashier asked if you wanted to round up your bill total and donate to a nonprofit? If it was recently, you're not alone. More than half of Americans donate while shopping, according to a recent study.

Meet Christian Schaede! A current MBA focusing his studies on Marketing and Innovation Management, Christian spent his summer interning with the Volvo Group.
In his role as a project manager, Christian manages the lifecycle of technical engineering changes, product offerings, following a strict "stage-gate" process. He played a key role in defining deliverables, securing budget estimates, and coordinating necessary resources across the globe. Additionally, he led the Agile Program Increment activities and managed cross-functional development, ensuring the projects were executed on budget and resulted in high-quality outcomes.
A top highlight for Christian was witnessing firsthand the manufacturing processes during the launch of the all-new VNL, which kicked off full production this summer. Christian saw the practical application of our corporate strategies and efforts directly on the factory floor.

Meet Emily Agaba!
Emily is a full-time student, with a supply chain management concentration. Emily serves as President of the Women in Leadership Club and also sits on the Jenkins MBA Student Association board as the Graduate Student Association Representative.
This summer, Emily is a Sr. Program Manager Intern at Amazon.com in the Greater Seattle Area, an opportunity that aligns with her passion for supply chain and operational efficiency. In this role, Emily leverages data analytics and lean management principles to develop cost-effective solutions for Amazon’s transportation network.
Emily is enjoying the beautiful hikes in the Evergreen State and breathtaking daily office views of Mount Rainier.

Known for "the greatest show in sports," the Bananas are out to change the game of baseball, making it a fan-focused experience. They're taking the show on the road this summer with their World Tour '24.
In her role, Peyton is responsible for assisting with coordination, communication and ex*****on of travel plans for the team. She helps book transportation, manage itineraries, and ensuring a smooth travel experience for the players and staff.
"The team at the Savannah Bananas has been incredibly welcoming, and I'm gaining valuable experience in real-world travel logistics - exactly the fast-paced and challenging environment I was hoping for."
Say hi to student Abby Jensen! This summer she's interning with Ford Motor Company in southeast Michigan. As a manufacturing finance intern, Abby is working cross-functionally with both the finance and engineering teams.
Her focus this summer is to help the team explore strategic 3D printing applications in manufacturing—analyzing costs and overhead, as well as developing a database to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Not only does Abby enjoy being close to home and family, she enjoys participating in a Women in Finance group.

Meet Harsh Patel! Harsh is one of our full-time MBA students, with concentrations in marketing and supply chain management. He's also a member of the Jenkins MBA Student Association!
This summer, Harsh is a Supply Chain Intern at Vitalsource, where he focuses on demand forecasting for physical books across various customers, including universities and community colleges. Day-to-day, Harsh analyzes historical sales data and market trends, collaborates with purchasing, marketing and sales departments, and assists in managing inventory levels. Harsh particularly enjoys preparing reports on forecast accuracy and contributing to continuous improvement of forecasting methodologies.
Harsh's internship keeps him close to the Pack in Raleigh, NC. He appreciates the dynamic business environment and the tangible impact he can make on the company's efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Some of our students are globe-trotting this summer. For Josh Epperson this is his first time studying abroad!
Josh joins 16 other NC State Poole College of Management students traveling to Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro to study corporate sustainability in emerging markets. He's cataloging the trip on Instagram—here's a sneak peek at the trip so far!

Meet Anya Yencho! Anya is a full-time student completing a concentration in Marketing and Innovation Management. After completing her , Anya hopes to transition into a strategic program manager position, to work alongside cross-functional teams. She wants to help organizations soar to new heights via transformative strategies!
This summer, Anya is completing an internship with NetApp in their RTP Office. As a part of the professional services team, she's focused on increasing internal use of a new global platform for the team.
Her favorite part? "I've had the opportunity to meet people from across the globe and learn about how business operates in different regions."

Alisha’s MBA journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. She recently joined her peers in Munich, Germany, for a week of learning 👩🏫 and cultural immersion 🇩🇪🍺. During the experience, they visited leading companies and connected with industry professionals.
Alisha’s Highlights:
🌍 This is her third global experience as part of the Jenkins MBA program, having visited Switzerland and South Africa before, with Brazil up next.
🌍 Working at Siemens for seven years gave her a special connection to the trip, as she visited their European headquarters.
