With classes beginning tomorrow, we wanted to let you all know that the REAL Center is now the English TLC! We still offer the same services, just under a different title. If you are enrolled in an English course this semester, you'll have access to the Blackboard page! Starting the 15th, you can use the QR code to navigate to Blackboard and check out our services. Due to inclement weather, all Wake Tech campuses will be closed Thur, Aug 8. In-person classes are canceled but online classes continue as scheduled. Many Wake Tech services, including admissions and advising, are available virtually at waketech.edu. Wake Tech employees who can work remotely should do so.

Wake Tech is launching a new online certificate program this fall that offers an accelerated pathway to becoming a licensed elementary school teacher.

The college has joined the Cultivating Carolina Classrooms initiative, a collaboration between the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) and the North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) that provides individuals with a bachelor’s degree a streamlined opportunity to elementary education licensure.
Sometimes called lateral entry, the Educator Preparation Program (EPP) is a strategic initiative that aims to address the shortage of elementary school teachers.

Our tutors are skilled professors and instructors from the English Department. Appointments are not scheduled, so just stop by whenever it is convenient for you.
