No, it’s not jewelry. Expect to see more of that again in the coming weeks (yes, I’m back!). But… it is a little jewel.
Who wants to spend a month or longer in sunny Florida? Dog friendly. Hot tub and sauna. Ten minutes to downtown St Pete. Less than 15 minutes to the beach. Walking distance to 10+ breweries and lots of nightlife. And 20 minutes to the Tampa airport. Plus the landlord is pretty nice. 😎

• Reported to have been initially created in 1767 and passed down generations within the Spencer family, the Spencer Tiara was worn by Lady Diana just over 40 years ago, and turned heads when she stepped into St. Paul's Cathedral in the most highly anticipated Royal wedding of the past century.
Its famous garland style design has a central heart-shaped motif set with diamonds flanked by continuous running scrolls, interspersed with star and trumpet-shaped flowers mounted in silver and gold. The heart-shaped piece was particularly sentimental to Lady Diana as her grandmother, Lady Cynthia Hamilton, received it as a wedding present for her 1919 marriage to “Jack”, Viscount Althorp, the future 7th Earl Spencer.
Over nearly 200 years – as is often the case in jewellery of this kind – the tiara was added to and transformed until crown jeweller Garrard was commissioned in the 1930s to turn the tiara into the final article. Lady Diana was known to be fond of the Spencer Tiara, often wearing it to white-tie events, sporting the dazzling piece at least seven times between 1983 and 1992 on special occasions during royal tours and high-profile events.
It will now be exhibited in London for the first time since the 1960s as a highlight of the UK's largest tiara exhibition in two decades, part of Sotheby's Jubilee in celebration of The Queen's Platinum Jubilee this summer.

The middle ring features an elongated emerald-cut diamond weighing 30.47 carats, flanked by two baguette diamonds, while the ring to the left has a squared emerald-cut diamond weighing 26.06 carats.

Tell me about a favorite piece in your jewelry wardrobe.
I’ll tell you about one of mine. This ring is plastic. Yup. Some sort plastic resin with a painted scene on the underside. And I desperately love it.
Why? A few reasons. I bought it at the almost 20 years ago, on a girls’ trip after a week in Europe for work. The colors also speak to me and this thing goes with everything! Jeans and a tshirt. A nice dress. A work suit. And it’s always a conversation piece, as well as being very unique - I’m not going to see one like it on anyone else. Ever.

Our Story
Jewelry has always been my passion. It's one of the first things I notice on/about people when meeting them for the first time. In college, I was pursing a degree in metal arts (jewelry making) until my parents caught on and decided a girl from Des Moines, Iowa would be better served with a business degree. While working on the metal arts degree, however, I had the chance to also work at a local, family-owned jewelry store that had been around for 125 years at that point (they’re still going strong at 145 years in business). They granted me the chance to sit at the bench and apprentice under their two master jewelers. It was the best education I’ve received.
So, while I did go on to get the business degree, I still have a love for jewelry design. Especially the vintage variety. Shop the store. Ask questions and by all means, dream a little while you're here. In my mind, old is the new new.
