Odin is selling Lemonade today in hopes to raise money towards his yearly Rushmore Hockey Association dues. He will be open until 2:45 PM. After that he will do some plyometrics at Dakota Grit Physical Therapy, then he will go practice violin with homework proffered by Walfish Music School before he heads to soccer practice at Black Hills Rapids.
Come on down and support this future leader.
In remembrance of Memorial Day.
James Garfield said it best when speaking at Arlington Cemetary in 1868:
"We do not know one promise these men made, one pledge they gave, one word they spoke; but we do know they summed up and perfected, by one supreme act, the highest virtues of men and citizens. For love of country they accepted death, and thus resolved all doubts, and made immortal their patriotism and their virtue."
Tess Franzen
Thanks Cassie
Dakota Grit is the proud corporate sponsor of this little hockey player. Go Rushmore Thunder.
Our employee, James and his lovely wife celebrated the 248th Marine Corps ball at his reserve unit, 6th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, in Bellevue Washington last weekend. They looked dashing.
Heck, if the Marine Corps trusts him to call in Danger Close fire support missions, you should trust him with your rehab. Why wait? Schedule an appointment today.
Congratulations to the Hot Springs High School on the State Championship win.
Happy Birthday U.S. Marine Corps. My God Bless all Devil Dogs.

Dakota Grit Physical Therapy is happy to welcome this new business to the Haines Shopping Center.
We are proud to announce that our employee, Dr. James Whitcher has earned the professional designation of a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist.
Each year the American Physical Therapy Association recognizes a select few physical therapists who pass a rigorous examination related to their area of expertise to become Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialists.
The Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist Board Certification is granted by American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists and was established to provide formal recognition for physical therapists with advanced clinical knowledge, experience, and skills in a special area of practice and to assist consumers and the health care community in identifying these physical therapists. Orthopaedic Clinical Specialists are experts in evaluating and treating musculoskeletal conditions, a distinguished honor that is shared by less than 5% of all physical therapists in the United States.
This is a big honor, so be sure to congratulate Dr. James.
Why wait, schedule an appointment with him today.
Thanks to the Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy for their preparation coursework.
Happy Father’s Day to all dads out there. Hope you enjoyed some quality time with your kids/dads.

Big shout out to Gary. Gary started at Dakota Grit for extreme shoulder pain and inability to lift his arm over his head. Obviously this is a problem for someone who is hoping to draw an Archery elk tag in the Black Hills. Gary has worked his butt off in Physical Therapy and is now able to draw his bow back. Hopefully the next video we share will have Gary in face paint drawing down on a screaming bull elk.
Congratulations Gary (Gary Kreun)

How Did I Get Here? Hello there, James here – your favorite physical therapist. Sometimes I ask myself: “how did I get here?” My 7th favorite General, General Jim Mattis, once said something to the effect that it’s paramount for great leaders to take time for introspection. How did I get to being a physical the...
