What area of your body causes you pain/ discomfort?

We will begin with a simple and powerful joint mobility series that moves from head to toe to calm the mind and body, improve circulation, joint mobility, digestion, detoxification, balance and concentration.
Once the body is warm, the joints are open and the mind is present, we will move into techniques. This will release neck tension, address pressure points to improve blood flow, alleviate pain and aid metabolism.
You will leave empowered with new ways to address discomfort and enhance recovery between athletic sessions.
Please bring a mat and if you have a blanket or yoga block you may appreciate having it for comfort and support.

π Take a mindful moment to be intentional as you set your resolutions. Hereβs how:
1. Pause to declutter your mind of last yearβs unmet resolutions and the busyness of the start of the year.
2. Pick one or two changes you would like to make that are the most important to you.
3. Reflect on your most important values at this time in your life β and why these are important to you.
4. Connect your intentions to your values. For example, βI want to be more present and connected with my family and colleagues to deepen these relationships.β
5. Set specific, day-to-day action steps you can take to help you reach your broader intention.
6. Pause and take a few mindful breaths. Reflect on what might be in the way of doing these action steps if itβs not coming easily. Reconnect to your original intentions and values to fuel what you want to make happen in your life.
7. Remember, you donβt have to be perfect β just do your best.

- Detachment journaling- write a list of the things in your life that youβre ready to release dependence on and explore what youβd like to cultivate in the coming year.
- breathwork, cultivate your life force energy. It warms the body and is soothing to the nervous system.

Have foot pain? Try a tennis, golf, lacrosse, or racetball for some of these spots. Simply place the ball on the floor. Take a deep breath in, as you exhale, slowly lean weight down into point and wait. Allow the muscles to relax. If it's too intense, move an inch away from discomfort and repeat.

Did you know that a lot of back and knee pain comes from glute tightness and or weakness? Try leaning against a ball on a wall. Put most of your weight on your opposite leg, rock back and forth until you find a tight spot. Stop, breathe, and allow tension to relax. Try several spots.
Hi all! I am going to be leading a Self-Care class/workshop at Living Water Community Center on Saturday, December 2nd 11:15am-12:15. It will be both educational and restorative.
We will work with tennis balls to release typical acupressure points, then stretch those areas to relieve stress. We will use blankets in various ways to stretch and massage muscles and learn how to easily replicate a self-care routine at home.
We will be using breath and slow intentional movements with peaceful music to calm and rejuvenate the mind and body.

Italian garlic and fennel sausage made with eggplant onions and sweet peppers with roasted local Brussels sprouts and sauteed zucchini with Indian spices. Prepped ahead. Will be put on Jasmine rice cooked ahead. Filling nutritious and delicious! I avoid eating meat at dinner especially as the warmer months are upon us. It helps with inflammation, joint pain and anxiety.
I'm thinking about starting some pop-up Fit Fusion classes in Ashland. If you're in the area and interested, let me know. A blend of functional strength training, resistance bands, and yoga to energize and align mind and body.

Find center and envigorate with me this Friday 6am at Zinger Fit. Yoga Fusion offers a little of everything, intuitively guided by the morning and the needs of the participants. Yoga, strength training and restoration provided in a small group atmosphere (no more than 8 woman). We will mindfully flow through movements with breath and intention. Find moments to pause and feel the purpose, create heat through pulses and holds and restore with self massage and stretches throughout.
