📢 EXERCISE ANNOUNCEMENT 📢

🚨 Final CSEPP Exercise on June 12, 2024 🚨

Outdoor warning sirens near the Army Depot will sound for a CSEPP Exercise. This is only a TEST! There is NO emergency.

The Bluegrass Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program (CSEPP) will conduct its final exercise, involving eight area counties, the Blue Grass Army Depot, and the Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant. This drill concludes over three decades of dedication to public safety and emergency readiness.

If there were a real chemical accident at the Blue Grass Army Depot, Madison County residents could receive alerts from:

Outdoor warning sirens
AlertFM receivers
RAVE Alerts
Wireless emergency alerts on cell phones
Radio and television alerts
Madison County EMA social media pages
Local media partners

Exercising how our staff responds to simulated accidents helps prepare us for real-world emergencies.

NOTE: Residents may notice an increased presence of first responders and emergency personnel. Activities will include message board signage in Madison and Estill Counties on Tuesday evening and Traffic Control Points in Estill County on Wednesday morning starting at 8:00 AM.

06/11/2024

Reminder: taking place this afternoon!

Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 11th, 2024, from 4 PM to 8 PM, CSEPP will be hosting decontamination exercises at the following locations:
📍 First Baptist Church
📍 Church on the Rock

There will be a large presence of First Responders. Do not be alarmed; this is just an exercise.
