Join us for our Annual Veteran Ally Training Panel on Thursday, May 25th from 4-5:30pm at HUB 265. This event is opened to campus faculty, staff, and students who are interested in learning about what it is like being a veteran on campus. Hope to see you there!

We have an employer coming on Tuesday to assist you all in learning how to do an Elevator Pitch and brush up on interview skills. It is going to be in a “Speed Dating” fashion. You will get about 5 opportunities to practice AND GET FEEDBACK.

If you are interviewing for jobs, internships etc… now or soon, THIS IS A MUST DO!!!

MilVets is having a few donation events where people are helping pack boxes for those on deployment. Each month, those who are on deployment will receive a care package with basic necessities to help them on deployment. More information is available here on the flyers.

Hello Veterans!!!!

We were contacted by the Price is Right to bring our UCR Veterans back to the show! We need at least 10 Veterans and we will be able to rent us a van if transportation is needed. It is Next Thursday 5/9 and we have to be there no later than 7:45am. Last time ALL veterans in the audience got a trip to a luxury resort in Las Vegas. Please email [email protected] directly if you would like to go and if you will need a ride. REMEMBER, this is VETERANS ONLY!

Make sure to save the date for our Military Dependent Day celebration on April 30th at 4pm! We will have lots of amazing raffle prizes and boba for the first 50 people!

Calling all veterans and family! 🎖️⚾ Join us this Friday at Riverside Sports Complex for a special military appreciation baseball game, UCR vs UCI. As a token of our gratitude, there will be free hats for all veterans (first come, first serve)! Don’t miss out - gates open at 6pm.

The VRC will now be closing at 5pm on Thursdays.

ALSO, This Friday there will be noise and obstruction in the VRC as we are having some work done. And… The VRC will be CLOSED on April 15th for a little remodeling!!!

On February 29th from 4-5:30pm we will be having a VIRTUAL NETWORKING EVENT. This is a PRIME opportunity to start networking with the people who can help get you skills and knowledge for jobs in your field. These folks are either veterans or dependents themselves or are within our veteran supporting network. Some are even UCR Alumni. This event will be a quick intro of each employer/guest we have, then we will head into breakout rooms. This is so you have time to go in and out of each room as you need to get more information from different employers/guests.

Join us on Tuesday, February 13th from 12-1:30pm at HUB 379 for our Women-identified Veterans and Dependents Galentine’s Day! We will make Valentine related crafts and eat some delicious snacks! Hope to see you there! 🌹💐

We will be having CNAS Advising at the Veterans Resource Center Thursday from 1pm-2:30pm. No appointment needed, walk-ins welcome. Also, in case you didn’t know the Advisor, Katie Smith, is an Army veteran. I hope to see some of you in the VRC!

Come out to the Military Salute to Soldiers men’s basketball game on February 22nd at 7pm at the SRC. There will be free merch so you don’t want to miss out!

Stop by for our movie nights to watch the season Masters in the Air. We will have different snacks/food each week. The first episode will be shown on February 21st from 4-6pm at the VRC. Hope to see you there!
