The Highlander Empowerment Referendum

ASUCR will be discussing the Highlander Empowerment Referendum

UCR’s Seven Ethnic & Gender Program Offices help our campus make the most of our diversity by providing opportunities for us to learn how to live and lead in a diverse world. Our core services include:
• Cultural and Educational Programs
• Student Support and Leadership
• Development Community Building and Dialogue

The Highlander Empowerment Referendum, a $14 quarterly fee, will provide funding directly to the ethnic & gender program offices. The seven ethnic & gender program offices are: African Student Programs, Asian Pacific Student Programs, Chicano Student Programs, LGBT Resource Center, Middle Eastern Student Center, Native American Student Programs, & Women's Resource Center. Each office will get $1.50 per student per quarter from the Referendum, if passed. A Referendum Student Advisory Committee will provide student oversight of the use of funds.

Fall Welcome Festival this WEDNESDAY 10/15th from 6pm to 8 pm at the Belltower.

There will be free food for the first 300 people who stop by the office at 244 Costo Hall and get a ticket. Be sure to get your ticket before they run out! A limited number of tickets will be available on the day of event.
