Aesop's Table

As I watch and read things that have transpired after the assassination attempt on our former president, my heart and soul ache at the disgusting things that people I love are saying! I don't care what you think about Trump. If you are a normal human being, you should have empathy if not for our past president, at least for the people who were killed!!! I understand that some of you have been lied to and still believe these lies, but two people lost their lives, and several others were injured. I'm talking to all of you who have said horrible things and degraded the severity of what happened! One of which was a father who threw himself over his mother and daughter to save their lives! Now is not the time to spew the political rhetoric!!! Now is the time to look at what is happening to us as a people and have simpathy, compassion, and love for each other. I read some of the things that people I love are spewing, and it makes me physically ill!. You are people that I would throw myself on to save your life and yet you write such hate and evil things. Write what you have to, to get the evil out of you, but then read it and delete it. This kind of hate and evil is what made a very sick individual kill an innocent man and get himself killed. I will say a prayer for you so the evil can be lifted from your hearts. GOD LOVES YOU!!! He wants us all to be happy!!! So stop spreading evil thoughts!!! Try to SMILE IT'S CONTAGIOUS SO SPREAD IT!!!

There are so many things in life that you just don't know. As a civilization, we depend on our fellow human beings to have our backs. We depend on our laws and the Constitution to keep us safe and for most of us to keep us honest. I do not care what you are or what your politics are or your religion! I only care if you do your job, if you make enough money to take care of yourself, if you are a good person that holds a door for a stranger if their hands are full, if you would help someone even when it is inconvenient for you. These are the kind of people you want to surround yourself with. These are the kind of people who have our backs. These are the kind of people you call as a last resort because they do so much you don't want to ask them unless it's absolutely because you need help. These are the kind of people you want to become! Right now, our country is lost. We need to fix it. We need to because our government is broken, our media is broken, our hearts and a lot of our souls are broken. Be the solution, not the problem, and SMILE THEY'RE CONTAGIOUS SO SPREAD THEM!!!

Sara was my North Wind Princess back in 2011when I was a Vulcan. When you are a volunteer with a group of people for an entire year they become family. This young beautiful couple just started their lives together when Cole was diagnosed with peritoneal mesothelioma an incurable cancer but treatable. I have been cooking for 39 years. I started my first job in the food business at 10 years old, for my dad doing dishes at Chippewa Lodge. Got my first job outside the family at 13 as a bus boy at Ol' Mexico and at 16 I was a line cook. At 17 went back to the family business my step dad and mom started, which is Aesop's at 33 Donna and I bought Aesop's. I tell you this because I want you to know when it comes to food it's perfect or it doesn't get served.
I've been cooking this corned beef and cabbage recipe for 37 years, you will not find it better than this anywhere else.

Anthony Mahmood for District 833 School Board

I'm not a mean or vindictive person, I make friends wherever I go. So when people I've never met start to say how bad of a person I am. It leaves me to believe they are scared and need some help in understanding how civilized human beings behave and interact.
I truly appreciate the differences that we all bring to the table. We don't have to hate each other because we have different ideas on how to accomplish a common goal. We need to embrace our differences and work together on the task before us. Which is to educate our children and prepare them for the harsh realities of life.
Jaime for Schools, Ryan C. for District 833 and myself Anthony Mahmood will do everything we possibly can, to arm our teacher with as many tools that are available. When you meet someone that is different from you, don't focus on those differences focus on what you have in common and use your differences to help undestand the solution to your common problems.

Aesop's has been in business for 37 years this October. My parents ran it for 16 years, Donna and I are going on 21years this year. It's been a hard but happy going on 3 years since we sold the brick and mortar. I miss my employees and my customers.
I'm still working with my city of Newport on trying to get it so I can have the food trailer serve food a couple times a week. But in the mean time I'm working hard keeping up with the catering part of the business. I've had some pretty heavy duty health issues the last year, but I'm coming out on top. Devil 0 Me 3! If anyone has any grad parties you need food for give me a call. I do pick ups and drop off. I'm going to start posting more and having some monthly special.

Once again Aesop's Table allows me the opportunity to help an unbelievably wonderful organization, C.O.P.S. MN Chapter(concerns of police survivors). These women and men have had thier lives ripped out from under them by having thier loved one killed in the line of duty. This is my 2nd time cooking for them, and the St Paul Winter Carnival Klondike Kates do such a wonderful job. My allergies were acting up really bad!

Aesop's has a great relationship with the Hugo Beyond the Yellow Ribon. Because of this relationship Aesop's is able to feed our military families multiple times a year. Which brings happiness and joy into my life! These women and men are truly remarkable human beings and I am so happy I can help in anyway at all. Thank you 34th military Police for all that you do!!!

I know it short notice but I thought I should let you know Aesop's is making it's cornd beef and cabbage tomorrow at the VFW in North St Paul. Now I usually make 200 orders for the VFW but 40 of them are already ordered and I didn't get the yield I normally get. So I have 138 orders so if you want some we start at 11 and go till gone. I'm thinking that will be around 1 PM. So come early if you want some. It's $15 this year.

As promised here are the three freezer meals! I'll take orders up to Friday 19th and have them ready by Tuesday 23 for pick up or if you buy 5 or more we will deliver for free( within a 10 mile radius from Newport). For delivery it might not be till Friday 26th throughout the weekend.
If anyone knows how I could collect the orders easier, I will take any help you are willing to give. I'm not very technically advanced.
1. Pot roast with mashed potatoes and gravy.
2.Chicken wild rice caserole.
3. Tater tot hot dish.
Each serves two and will be $15 per bag.
