St. Paul students fight for music, arts funding 06/23/2021

FoHA proudly promoted the campaign to “Save the Arts” in St Paul Public Schools. Tough budget decisions in public education are required each year, but we can’t keep looking for cost reductions by eliminating opportunities for Art Education and Programming in our schools. We are missing an opportunity to engage with a large population of our students!

An integral part of the FoHA mission is supporting Arts in our Schools. In 2014 when FoHA incorporated, it was the HPSH Theater program most at risk. Since then there have been reductions in the vocal music offerings at HPSH, and sadly now the visual arts.

Please read about what’s happening in your community and consider signing the petition posted by HPSH student Jerome Treadwell, a leader in the effort to Save the Arts.
