Well, we made it to 5 years 🥹. Tomorrow April 9 marks our 5 year anniversary.
I’d like to share a little bit of my story with y’all.
I started this business at a very low time in my life. I was 29 and unsure of what direction my life was headed. I’d been waiting tables off and on for 10 years and unsure if my recent degree was the right decision for me. In 2019 I decided I wanted to own a coffee business. The only problem, I didn’t know how to do that 😅. I have never worked in a coffee shop and never had any formal barista training or business experience. Regardless, I purchased a coffee trailer and started watching YouTube videos on “how to make espresso” and “how to steam milk” 😂.
The first year was awful and there were times when I only saw 2 customers a day. Nonetheless I stayed positive buuut also kept a full-time job as well as a part- time job to make ends meet.
Fast forward to March 2020 and my life started to crumble. In the midst of a global pandemic, I lost my 2 jobs, I lost my relationship, I lost my home and I had a failing business that was only getting worse. I was at my lowest point and I felt like I had failed.
I moved back in with my parents and took some time to reset. Although I had lost so much I still had so much to be grateful for. My family and my failing business 🙏🏽.
After a good long cry, I was ready to start over.
Not only did I build my business from the ground up but I built myself up along with it. I quite literally “poured” myself into every aspect of this business and it’s been the most rewarding experience of my life.
I want to thank EVERY SINGLE PERSON that has ever stopped by 😭. Thank y’all for supporting me, thank y’all for believing in me, thank y’all for being my friends, and thank y’all for giving me the strength to keep going 🙏🏽🩷.
I love and appreciate y’all more than words could ever explain. I don’t know where we’ll be in another 5 years but I hope to enjoy many more cups of coffee with y’all.
