Aggravated Robbery at Dollar General on 8506 Culebra Rd

On Wednesday July 26, 2023, at 11:46 AM, the unknown suspect entered the Dollar General located at 8506 Culebra Rd with an American flag gator over his face and sunglasses. When the suspect approached the register with his basket full of items, he displayed a handgun and demanded the clerk (Victim) to give him all the money from the register. The suspect took possession of the register till and the keys on the register. The SP demanded the Victim to give him ci******es from behind the counter. The SP demanded the Victim’s vehicle key and the Victim complied. The SP exited the location and loaded the stolen store merchandise into the Victim’s vehicle and fled the location in the stolen vehicle.

On Thursday, June 15, 2023, the suspect walked in the Family Dollar Store located at 3600 Nogalitos St. and began gathering merchandise. The suspect started two separate fires in the same shopping aisle. The suspect then left in a tan or brown late 90’s to early 2000’s model Chevy Blazer driven by an accomplice.

One year anniversary- sad that we lost these two young men. Let’s do our best to stay vigilant, drive with a cool mind, diffuse altercations instead of create them, and any other steps to keep our city safer for everyone.

Homeless Man Shot Six Times in the Head While Asleep behind

I am literally struggling to type this…what a senseless and disgusting excuse for a person commits a heinous act like this..

On Monday, July 10, 2023, at 6:20 AM, Juan Martinez was shot six times in the head while he slept outside behind the Little Caesars restaurant located at 6020 Old Pearsall Rd. The suspect is seen in surveillance video on a bicycle scoping the crime scene before the shooting. Immediately after the shooting, the suspect is seen fleeing the crime scene on surveillance footage. (Suspect in attached photographs riding a bicycle)

On Tuesday, April 4th, at 1:30 PM, a Lyft driver picked up 2 unknown suspects who struck him in back of head and threatened to kill him if he didn’t get out of his Lyft car. When he got out, suspects stole his wallet and drove away in his Lyft car. A nearby apartment camera captured the suspects fleeing after abandoning the stolen vehicle.

On Saturday April 28, 2018, the victim’s vehicle was stuck in the intersection of Iowa St. and Hackberry St. by a grey Dodge Charger. The Dodge Charger was traveling at a high rate of speed and ran a stop light striking the victim’s truck causing the victim’s vehicle to roll over. SYNOPSIS:
On Saturday April 15, 2023, at approximately 2345 hours, Selma police officers were dispatched to the 15400 block of IH 35 N, between Loop 1604 and FM 3009, for a report of a single-vehicle accident. Upon arrival, Selma police officers found the driver and sole occupant, Joseph Banales, to be deceased with a single gunshot wound to his head. It appeared the shot was fired through the driver’s side window. During the investigation, Selma PD was able to develop a vehicle of interest. The suspected suspect vehicle (a possible Nissan 350Z/370Z) is a dark-in-color, possibly blue, sports car, with aftermarket loud exhaust and possibly a spoiler. The suspect vehicle was seen driving erratically near the crime scene.

SYNOPSIS:
On Sunday, April 9th, 2023 at 12:44 pm, after the victims vehicle became involved in a road rage incident with the suspect vehicle while driving southbound on Fratt Rd then westbound on Rittiman Rd, the occupants of the victims vehicle began arguing with the occupants of the suspect vehicle, a gold Ford Escape, while stopped in the Burger King parking lot at Rittiman and IH 35. As the victim drove away toward the adjacent Travel Inn parking lot, the passenger of the suspect vehicle produced a handgun and shot at the victims vehicle, striking the driver of the vehicle in the leg. The suspect vehicle then fled from northbound on IH 35 from Rittiman Rd.

On Friday April 14, 2023, the victim was travelling NB on IH-37S, past Loop 410 but before Military Dr. The suspect was driving a Dodge Ram 2500 approximate 2010 to 2012 model pickup truck, towing a trailer. The suspect hit the victim’s vehicle from behind with his truck, causing the victim to lose control and spin around. The suspect then fled. After one of the suspects grabbed some store items, both suspects approached the register. One of the suspects went behind the register and held the victim up at gun point. The suspect demanded money from the register. The victim placed money inside a bag carried by the suspect with the gun. Then the bag was given to the other suspect. Both suspects fled the location.
