The San Bernardino County Department of Public Health Animal Care Division received an incredible grant from California for All Animals!

A portion of these grant funds were allocated to providing pet tag engraving machines to animal shelters across San Bernardino County, at absolutely no cost to the shelters.

Our goal with this program is to promote responsible pet ownership, as an identification tag on your pet’s collar is the fastest way for your pet to find its way home should it become lost.

By working together, we can keep our beloved furry friends safe and secure!🐾💕

Huge thanks to Jasmine Viel from for stopping by the Devore Animal Shelter to share how we are keeping our furry friends cool during the hot weather. Watch the full story by clicking the link here https://bit.ly/4bM5VS8 .

When it’s hot outside, remember:

Leave pets with extra water.
Ensure pets have plenty of shade if kept outside.
Don’t force animals to exercise when it is hot and humid.
Don’t let pets stand on sidewalks or hot asphalt to avoid burning their paws.
Never leave pets in a parked vehicle. Even in the shade with windows cracked, temperatures can reach over 120 degrees inside.

To learn how you and your pets can stay cool this season, visit https://dph.sbcounty.gov/extreme-heat-information-and-resources/ .
