Perspective Theatre Company Richard 2 Auditions
Seeking 2 actors for Richard 2 directed by Kevin Hammond performing at The Pear Theatre in Mountain View performing March 9-26. Rehearsals likely to begin on February 13.
About: This seldom seen history play seems a perfect choice to revisit right now, as notions of power, leadership, faith and honor all seem to be in a permanent state of chaotic flux in our current political climate.
Who has the right to rule? How should a leader rule? What makes a good ruler?
Is rebellion against traditions and norms held up for centuries good for a country? Or will it tear us all apart?
These are just some of the challenging questions we will explore in this production.
Contract: MBAT1 (applied), with non-AEA receiving the same pay.
When: Auditions on December 3 and 10.
Prepare: a single Shakespearean monologue, in two distinctly different ways. Since most performers in our Shakespeare productions play multiple characters we want to see you show off your ability to do this with the same text. Be prepared to take adjustments. Please bring a copy of your headshot and resume.
Callbacks: Will be held at your convenience digitally with the director over Zoom.
Contact: [email protected]
