We're a coalition of 50 San Francisco nonprofits that ensure the needs and priorities of APIs are addressed.

In collaboration with several local food businesses, media personas, farms, purveyors, artisans, and organizations, API Council will be hosting its first 2024 SF Food Action Summit: The Road to Good Food, and we want to see you there!

Join at the 2nd Annual “Drumbeats, Heartbeats Communities as One” celebration of the Lunar New Year and Black History Month on Tuesday February 13, 2024, 5 – 8:00pm at San Francisco Main Public Library, 100 Larkin St.
This month we’re recognizing ’s milestone in securing its first-ever permanent home in Chinatown. This project was funded by a grant from San Francisco’s API Equity Fund, a $30 million community development program formed after advocacy from API Council. The API Equity Fund’s goal is to protect and preserve the work of our community organizations that provide critical services like food security, workforce development, citizenship and immigration assistance, early childhood development, elder care services, community development, and more.
Today, the API Council hosted our annual holiday luncheon for our Executive Directors, graciously co-sponsored by David Lei and Buck Gee. This gathering was a celebration of the many achievements and hard work of our member organizations over the past year. The event was a testament to the spirit of collaboration and the Council’s dedication to our communities.
Yesterday, we had a town hall co-hosted by the API Council and OCEIA, featuring Deputy Assistant Secretary Camille Dawson from the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs. We were joined by SF Assessor - Recorder Joaquín Torres as well as SF City Administrator Carmen Chu.
This occurred while world leaders, dignitaries, and businesses are historically gathering in San Francisco for APEC.
