REMINDER! Using immigrants, including Undocumented immigrants or those seeking asylum, as pawns to win over yt supremacist is a disgustingly common play during election years. Undocumented folks do NOT need to prove their humanity or justify their bravery to relocate.
Here are some reality checks around Undocumented immigrants and how most of them pay more taxes than billionaires.
This hate speech has real consequences to us, our community and policies.
If you want to know more and/or organize around human rights especially those that directly impact immigrants here are some places to start:

This list is nonexhaustive, but might be helpful as a framework when you are meeting with a new provider for the first time. Not all care providers will, be default, be a good fit for you. Unfortunately, some providers of care act in harmful ways, can cause trauma, or exacerbate existing distress.
You deserve to be informed about the person you are seeking support, care from. Here are some questions that may be helpful to ask when you are meeting with someone new for the first time.

Posted • .delia I am training to become a doctor because too many trans people cannot access the care they need to survive. Too many trans people are denied healthcare because of our gender identity. Too many trans people are given inadequate treatment because medical education does not talk enough about us and our care. Too many trans people have been harmed up to the point of death because of this. I do what I do because our community deserves better.

Posted • Tiffany Banks of Miami, Florida. Ximena Madrid Flores of Teotihuacán, Mexico. Maria Fernanda Hilton of São Paulo, Brazil. These are just three names included in a list of trans people worldwide who were killed in the past 12 months. Today, and every day, we say their names.
A new report from Transgender Europe has found that 321 trans and gender-diverse people were killed between October 1, 2022, and September 30, 2023. The Trans Murder Monitoring 2023 report is from Transgender Europe’s Transrespect versus Transphobia Worldwide initiative, an ongoing quantitative research project to provide information on the violence trans people face globally. Alongside the aggregate data, TE has also released a PDF of each person’s name, some details about them, and information about their deaths. The organization also pointed out that the list does not represent the true number of trans people killed worldwide, given that many are not out when they die and that when it comes to murders of trans people, “most cases worldwide” go unreported.
Read more of the report’s findings at the link in our bio.
