FL1269P Order Form 08/25/2024

Our squadron has the opportunity to sponsor wreaths for the gravesites of fallen Veterans through Wreaths Across America. It is an honor and privilege to be a part of this effort to pay tribute to those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. This year we will be sponsoring All Faiths Memorial Cemetery in Casselberry, Florida. This cemetery has 300 veteran gravesites they would like to have wreaths placed this coming season. Wreaths Across America offers the wreaths at $17 each and they have provided everything we need to make this a successful venture.

• Our squadron can begin sharing the opportunity to sponsor a wreath from today through December 3rd, 2024.
• We have a dedicated webpage that we can share with family and friends. The link brings you to our webpage, then choose "sponsor wreaths". You'll see options at that point.
• The placement of the wreaths is December 14th at 12 noon at the All Faiths Memorial Ceremony.
• We need volunteers to also place the wreaths that day. This does qualify for volunteer hours with your high school. Please respond to this email if you would like to sign up to place wreaths.
• There will be more details as we get closer to the day of the ceremony. All family and friends are invited to join in.
Here is the link to our Squadron Website for WAA: http://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/FL1269P
You can share this link immediately. Friends and family, co-workers can share the link as well.

The cadets enjoyed a great Emergency Services lesson on Aug 20 learning all about the litter carry. Thank you Lt Col Berry for this lesson and setting up the hangar with “obstacles” for the sign off.

The Seminole Composite Squadron hosted Florida Senator Jason Brodeur on Aug 13. During this spectacular event Senator Brodeur was awarded his Civil Air Patrol membership and was awarded the rank of Lt Col, all present by Lt Col Weiler and Maj Ingle. After a meaningful speech by the Senator, we celebrated a total of 19 promotions. The evening was concluded with fellowship, STEM displays, and amazing potluck all supplied by the FL-116 members and families.

Thank you to all who helped make this event a success. A special thank you to Million Air Orlando for allowing us the FBO to call home and for providing the most amazing views, especially for this special occasion. The hangar was spotless.
