According to the Orange County Register....
"Retail trade is expected to add 2,100 jobs this year and 1,900 in 2014, according to the report. Taxable retail sales in the county reached a peak of $39.3 billion in Orange County in 2012 and are expected to post healthy gains over the next two years, reaching $42 billion in 2013 and $43.7 billion in 2014."
Susan Lomax, Vice President of Communications of the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board states the positive growth in employment of the tourism sector in LA,
"We’re all hearing and seeing the media reports on new hotel developments, convention center expansion, airport expansion and renovations, new attractions planned for Universal Studios Hollywood and new museums,” said Lomax. “All of this is a win-win-win for the L.A. economy. It creates more jobs for L.A. residents, attracts more visitors and these visitors spend more money in L.A. businesses. It’s a very rewarding symbiotic relationship.”
