RSCCD Tops State Rankings for Adult Continuing Education Amid Post-Pandemic Resurgence Meeting the evolving needs of non-traditional students in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Rancho Santiago Community College District (RSCCD) which encompasses Santa Ana College and Santiago Canyon College, has emerged as California’s top destination for Adult/Continuing Education.​

Davon-Anthony Davaloz and his wife, Karina Davaloz, met in high school and attended Santa Ana College, teeing up their pathways to careers in serving the community. Now husband and wife, the Davalozes work in education and social work, crediting SAC for sparking their early career interests.

Today President Annebelle Nery and Congressman Correa held an unveiling of "Cesar Chavez 1991" at the A-Building. "Cesar Chavez 1991" is an oil on canvas artwork painted by Emigdio Vasquez (1939-2014). Vasquez was a Social Realist and Chicano Artist Painter and Muralist who also served as a faculty member of the SAC Art Department Faculty. The painting was donated by Higgy Vasquez and Katherine Bowers in Emigdio’s memory and honor.

Join us on August 13 at the Cesar Chavez Building at 3pm for the unveiling of "Cesar Chavez 1991,* oil on Canvas painted by Emigdio Vasquez (1939-2014).
Vasquez was a faculty member of the SAC Art Department. The painting was donated by Higgy Vazquez and Katherine Bowers.

Coming this fall! Register for History 125 "Native Americans In the United States", a course that explores the struggle of Native Americans to maintain their culture in the face of invasion and changing technology. This course can be taken online and is UC and CSU transferable.

This course studies, among other topics, Native American societies prior to European contact, tracing Native American responses to European invasion, Americanization campaigns, and urbanization.

The 2024 Summer Olympics begin tomorrow! Did you know two medalists graduated from Santa Ana College?

First: Bob Webster (middle) won the gold medal in the 10 M Platform Diving event in the 1960 Rome and 1964 Tokyo Olympics.

Second: Ed Caruthers took the silver medal in the high jump event in the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City. He also competed in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and recently had a park close to campus named after him.

Legendary Mexico National Team and former CD Guadalajara & Santos Laguna goalkeeper Oswaldo Sanchez was on campus this past Saturday to sign autographs at the free homeownership event hosted by Wells Fargo.

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) announced the highly coveted 2024 Circle of Excellence Awards recipients and named Santa Ana College (SAC), Office of College Advancement, as an awardee.
