Abraham Lincoln Elementary is a school of diverse 21st Century learners who are mastering challenging academic standards. We pride ourselves in educating scholars who are independent problem solvers and critical thinkers, successful in the global community. Lincoln staff will work collaboratively as a team with parents and the community to ensure that students acquire and demonstrate the knowledge, skills and values necessary for becoming exemplary, responsible and respectful citizens.
We are getting ready for our scholars to start the new school year. Today, our team helped to fill school uniform orders for over 70 of our Lincoln families! Our scholars will be receiving new backpacks, sweatshirts, shirts, bottoms, shoes, socks, undergarments, books, and health kits! Thank you Operation School Bell for your generosity!
At Lincoln, we value culture and diversity. We celebrated Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in May with some performances and a showcase of our students’ research about different AANHPI countries. Sorry about the late post. Santa Ana Unified School District
We celebrated our two beloved teachers who will be retiring, Ms. Gonzalez and Ms. Joslin. Thank you for the wonderful memories and years of service you have provided to our community. We miss you already!

Our Lincoln scholars did so great at the SAUSD - Teaching and Learning Math Field Day! 4th grade placed 2nd place in engineering and 5th grader, Abraham, placed 2nd place in mental math. Mrs. Renzas did a great job of coaching the students! Go Lincoln Lions! May the 4th be with you!

Before our Open House, we had our Family Science Literacy Night. It was so much fun! We learned about magnets, human electricity, volcanoes, Earth Day, and rocks and minerals! Thank you to all the Lincoln families who joined us, and we hope you learned something new too! Santa Ana Unified School District
We had a pep rally to motivate our scholars to do their best on their state tests. We chanted, "Are you ready? Let's glow!" We shared stories of hope, test taking strategies, and just had fun dancing with our students!
Lincoln scholars and staff had a memorable day viewing the partial solar eclipse. They were wowed and amazed by the celestial phenomenon. One student said, "That was soooo cool!"
Our Lincoln LIterary Lions did awesome at the Santa Ana Unified School District Battle of the Books competition. We are so proud of the hard work of our team and all the other SAUSD teams!
Lincoln celebrated Read Across America this week. We had special guests share the love of reading with our scholars. Thank you to our special guests who volunteered their time at our school: Orange County Poet Laureate, Gustavo Hernandez, Hector Bustos for Santa Ana School Board, Capital Group Irvine, community members, and families for participating. Our students loved hearing the stories you read and learning more about all our volunteer readers!
Lincoln scholars celebrated Black History Month by turning our school into a Lincoln Museum of Black History Contributions. We learned about artists, athletes, civil rights activists, inventors, women, and musicians! Our scholars did all the research! Santa Ana Unified School District

Lincoln scholars celebrating Lunar New Year with a special lion dance and dragon performance. Our students were so excited! Thank you to Tyun Yee Tong Lion& Dragon Dance Association 美國南加州中外周舘團義堂龍獅團 for bringing joy and diversity to Lincoln.
Lincoln's Career Fair was a hit! All our students learned about different careers and had so much fun. We hope to have inspired the future of our scholars today! Thank you Santa Ana Police Department, OC fire, Capital Group, and Santa Ana Unified School DistrictTrades Department for supporting our students!
Lincoln's first Speech and Debate Team did awesome! We won 3 trophies for our first time, and our scholars had a memorable day they will always treasure. Thank you to our assistant principal, Mr. Reyes, for mentoring our team!
5th grade teachers learned about computer programming with Mrs. Wendy Hammitt . They had fun learning how to code using Scratch. Our students will be super coders soon!
At our first staff meeting of 2024, our staff studied components of the ELPAC writing assessment. They engaged in the practice test like students so they could understand the skills needed to be successful on the exam. When teachers are more engaged in the curriculum, the better they will prepare our students for success. Lincoln teachers are awesome!
Families of our 5th grade students joined us today to learn about the different enrollment options for middle school. We helped our families enroll in the fundamental lottery and helped others apply for transfers to their schools of choice. If any other 5th grade parents need help with middle school information, give us a call at Lincoln.
