CDTA offers free rides to Code Blue shelters CDTA Tuesday announced a new partnership to offer free rides to homeless individuals going to shelters on a Code Blue night.

New Choices Recovery Center in collaboration with Schenectady County Public Health Services will be offering a free Naloxone training this Wednesday, September 6th from 6:00pm-7:00pm at the Karen B. Johnson Library (99 Clinton Street, Schenectady). Community members are encouraged to come learn about opioid overdoses and ways to prevent them through the use of naloxone (Narcan). Following the training, each participant will receive a naloxone kit.

The community is invited to join New Choices Recovery Center at this year's Overdose Awareness Vigil, honoring those that we have lost. The ceremony will take place from 6:30pm-7:30pm in the Central Park Rose Garden and will include naloxone (Narcan) training for those who are interested.
