SCCC Invites Music Students to Summer Institutes In addition to trombones, this summer SCCC invites musical theatre and trumpet students to participate in special, immersive summer institutes.
This Sunday at 3PM, our very own Dr. Keyser and Professor Pandori will be performing with their brass quintet! Free and open to the public.

SUNY Schenectady School of Music invites guitar and bass players, ages 11-18 of all ability levels, as well as music educators, to spend an entire day immersed in everything guitar and bass! There will be performances by faculty members Paul Quigley and Kevin Grudecki, students, and more. Parkway Music will be onsite to talk about instrument maintenance. The seminars include fretboard mapping, triads, and fingerpicking. Everyone will get a tour of the state-of-the-art Vianna Brignola Recording Studio. You can end the day with an open jam session with faculty and students.

The Glimmerglass Festival offers summer Apprenticeships in Artistic Administration, Company Administration, and Production. The Apprenticeship Program is geared toward participants, ages 18 and over, who would like to continue to learn and grow in their chosen field. Apprentices work directly with noted professionals under the guidance of supervisors and staff from many of the top theaters, opera companies, and institutions in the nation. Apprentices are engaged for a period of 7 – 18 weeks, with some positions beginning in early May.
