Chris is no stranger to volunteerism. He first threw his hat into the ring campaigning for the valued title of Mayor during the 2022 Scituate St. Patrick's Parade. Chris won the title. He then took it a step further and joined the committee and has become a valued volunteer Parade Committee member. Thanks for stepping up in our town Chris.

Message from Scituate Ma. Emergency Management
June 14, 2024

Good Morning,

A cold front will move off shore later today and into the early evening. As a result, there is a risk of severe thunderstorms from noon until 9pm tonight. Residents should be aware that these storms pose a risk for locally damaging wind gusts & heavy rain/street flooding. Residents should keep an eye on the sky if they have outdoor plans or will be on the road.

Also, the potential for excessive heat and humidity is currently forecasted for next week. This begins next Tuesday and may continue through Thursday or Friday. While it is a long way off...the potential for heat indices of 95-104 degrees are possible at times. It will also remain quite warm and muggy at night...thus, not much relief, so that will also be a concern. Now is the time to check your air conditioners and replace or clean the air filters.
