Gesher members loved jumping and balancing in the gymnastics obstacle courses last weekend! Big THANKS to Impact Gymnastics Academy for sponsoring this event.

Gesher offices will be closed Thursday the 17th and Friday the 18th in observance of Sukkot.

As you are preparing treats for the high holidays cooking with apples, honey and pomegranates, did you know…

Apples remind us of the roundness of the year & the hope that the coming year will be fruitful.
Honey represents the wish for a sweet year.
Pomegranates are said to have 613 seeds, the number of mitzvot written in the Torah and eating pomegranate shows our hope that we will perform all mitzvot in the coming year.

Bingo with Gesher on Sunday was a huge success! Our fun-filled afternoon was complete with crunchy snacks, festive decorations, fabulous prizes, awesome Bingo jokes and tons of excitement for everyone. Congrats to all the winners and a shout out to Congregation Beth Israel for hosting the group. Special thanks to all the volunteers that helped make the day special!

Today, we honor those we lost on this day in 2001. May their memories always be a blessing.

The Paralympics begins next week and I'm sure we all have our favorites we want to watch. Be sure to keep an eye out for Matt Stutzman (archery) and Melissa Stockwell (triathlon), from our Damon Brooks collection of speakers, representing the US!
