In this role, you will:
• Contribute to content creation, implementation and analysis of OED’s digital media strategy.
• Manage internal and external online platforms, including websites, social media accounts, and newsletter.
• Develop and support communication projects such as program launches, media campaigns, and multi-media projects that tell the story of OED and our community partners

Seattle musician to be inducted in Asian Hall of Fame 12/14/2022

Seattle Music Commission Vice Chair Daniel Pak has been inducted in the Asian Hall of Fame!

Daniel Pak is the frontman for Kore Ionz, a reggae band in Seattle, as well as the vice chair of the Seattle Music Commission (SMC). Daniel's non-profit record label and music program, Totem Star, provides Seattle youth with a space to produce and record music and be mentored by industry professionals.

Applications for Office of Arts & Culture Seattle’ 2023 CityArtist grant are now open! This cycle, dancers/choreographers, musicians/composers or theater-makers (including playwrights) can apply for funding in the research, development, and presentation of their work. Awarded artists will need to offer a public presentation within Seattle city limits.

💲 City funding will lower the cost of Small Business Flex Fund loans for eligible small businesses by paying down 25% of the loan principal.

Small businesses can borrow up to $150,000 with 4% interest rate for expenses such as payroll, rent, utilities and supplies.💲

✅To apply for the Capital Access Program, small businesses need to submit a Flex Fund loan application online.
📅 Application closes on 4/8 at 5 p.m.

Seattle born and raised filmmaker and National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY) founder Jesse Harris shot a feature film during the middle of the pandemic. The film stars Lucy Hale and an international cast of actors. Boston Herald calls it “a gripping crime thriller” and is in the top 10 Indie Movies on iTunes. SIFF Cinema Uptown is hosting a special theatrical screening of the film tonight, Wednesday Jan 26, 7pm. Jesse Harris joining for introduction and Q+A about the making of the film.

📣 is launching a one-time, $1.9 million grant program to support the re-opening of festivals and events! Applications are due TODAY, Nov. 11, 11:59 p.m.

Grant sizes will vary. The funding amount of each award will be determined based on the total number of applications received, the total amount requested by applicants, and the application score determined by a review panel. Grant awards will also be based on revenue losses due to COVID, demonstrated in gross revenue reported in 2019 and 2020 Form 990s or Form 1040s for each organization.
