We have two fantastic one hour shows this Thursday May 23 and both are NOT to be missed!!
The 7PM is ROGER SCHMELZER and the Seattle Cabaret Festival debut of JHASMINE RABARA. Roger is a seasoned cabaret performer gracing the stages of New York and his native Indiana. His mentor is the legendary Marliyn Maye https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marilyn_Maye . The 9pm features the lovely Kim Maguire Jazz who has been performing regularly in Seattle. Listen to Kim's beautifully trained voice and most of all her story. The first two weeks of Seattle Cabaret Festival showcased many magical cabaret performances. From the exciting opening night at The Triple Door to the intimate stage of Egan's in Ballard, it proves that cabaret is very much alive and going strong in Seattle.

Pacific Northwest Cabaret Association is proud to present a 4 hour cabaret masterclass with veteran New York cabaret performer CRAIG POMRANZ. This masterclass will focus in finding the participant’s voice and story in the song. Partially subsidized by a grant from 4Culture and Pacific Northwest Cabaret Association, a minimum donation is requested.

Craig is an internationally known singer/song-stylist, actor and author. He is Vice President and on the Board of the American Songbook Association. He presents the Pomranz Performance Grant every year to deserving performers who are looking for the chance to start their process to perform, rehearse, or record music of the Great American Songbook. His popular CDs “More Than a Seasonal Thing” and “My Heart Don’t Skip A Beat” are heard on radio stations around the world. Seattle Cabaret Festival returns to The Triple Door for another magnificent opening night! This fantastic showcase kicks off SCF 2024 in style, hosted by Arnaldo! Drag Chanteuse (“Silky gowns and a silken voice” – City Arts) and featuring Weimar Berlin-inspired rock band The Love Markets (“Irresistible… A deliciously dark carnival” – Seattle Magazine). The powerhouse bill includes satirical surprises from Matthew Stull, founder of the groundbreaking, Grammy-nominated vocal group The Bobs; hot swing and plush harmonies from Sugartime Trio; the velvety stylings of duo Jeannette d’Armand and guitarist Greg Fulton; wicked a ca****la hijinks with Bodacious Ladyhood; Beatles reinventions from Gretchen Rumbaugh and romantic misadventures with Mark Rabe; and jazz classics from versatile diva Joanne Klein, passionate newcomer Jhasmine Rabara, and Latin-inflected “crooner” Art Anderson.
