We had the pleasure of meeting the very sweet Persians Truffle and Tofu who found themselves arguing over who got to sit in the sink during the exam. A hard crate with a snap off lid can give some cats the same protected feeling these two are looking for, too.

Happy Veterinary Technician week! We're excited to share the photo of our skillful veterinary technician Lisa Woods that was recently featured in a trade magazine. Lisa is seen checking the vitals of a post-operative patient in recovery. One of the most important things our technicians do is monitor patients after anesthesia to ensure they wake up warm, safe, and comfortable.

We had the pleasure of seeing Popo recently and he decided the sink was a good place to relax and keep an eye on everyone during his exam. Thanks for being such a great model, Popo!

On World Rabies day we want to remind you to make sure your pets are vaccinated. Rabies is entirely preventable through vaccination but despite this, it remains a global concern. When you vaccinate your pet at Northwest Veterinary Hospital you not only protect the local community but also help vaccinate pets in Africa, too! For every pet we vaccinate against rabies we donate $1 to help vaccinate dogs in Africa. Learn more by visiting https://bit.ly/3ZHnnSF

Sweet Lyndis has some skin trouble so instead of wearing a cone she's in a real cat suit to keep her from hurting herself by over-grooming. We think she rocks that outfit! She's still as beautiful as ever! We're still working on figuring out what makes Lyndis so itchy but we expect she'll soon be back in her birthday suit, again!

Open up and say "Aaaah!" Dogs and cats rarely listen to the doctor when they're asked to show us their tonsils. So, to get a good look we have to use sedation. This gives our veterinarian the opportunity to get a better look in your pet's mouth and throat structures than your doctor gets (but maybe not your dentist). Sometimes the doctor can also collect samples while your pet's relaxed. Piper is doing great after her procedure!

Meet Tate, our adorable patient who had a rough night recently. He couldn't keep anything down and spent hours vomiting. Poor thing! 😒 But don't worry, our fantastic team was there to help him through it.

Tate was a bit unsure and scared, but one of our incredible veterinary assistants, Eva, came to the rescue. She showered him with extra love and affection, cradling him gently in her arms. πŸ€— Thanks to Eva's TLC and expertise, Tate finally relaxed and even started feeling better! πŸ™Œ

Our incredible team is here to ensure your furry family members receive the love and attention they deserve, especially during challenging times!
