La Prep Actor's Lab

for hands-on learning by very skilled and experienced professionals from California and Louisiana. ALL ACTORS are invited regardless of whether they have an agent or previous training or not!

"Learning the fundamentals about this business is absolutely necessary before starting your acting career. However, working out to become a more competitive quality actor is also very important. LA Prep is an actor's LAB with qualified successful designers, coaches, industry professionals and Directors who incorporate easy to learn original methods to give new and experienced actors a chance to work at their craft and to hone in on their abilities. "It's VERY important to train with educated and effective instruction. So many times we find that new actors are training with people who have no experience in properly preparing actors for this business. Little do they know that training with a bad coach is far more damaging than not training at all. I'm so excited to see LA Prep implemented so that all actors can be properly exercised and trained as actors!"

We are signing up actors of all ages now for LA Prep Actor's Lab. The sessions and dates are filling up fast for the summer Labs. Please email [email protected] the attached registration application ASAP and let us know what Lab dates you would like to take part in. Location is in a lovely historic high security building in downtown Shreveport Louisiana. Exact address will be given once registration is complete. Each LAB will follow a similar format beginning with exercises. All exercises are unique copyrighted Landrum methods proven effective through years of successful testing and results. There will be dozens of new and original exercises and methods offered to challenge actors. The exercises cover:
-Each actor's slate (all Labs will begin with each actor introducing himself with slate)
-Actor's introductory directed response
-How to take direction
-Memory drills training the mind for excessive quick recall for cold reads
-Drills learning to work with scene partners
-Scene sequential drills with multiple scene partners
-Learning to change dialog instantly as directed
-How to trust your scene partners
-Keeping the flow of the scene even when other actors flub their lines

PAYMENT
Payment must be paid in full in advance no less than 24 hours before lab date. There are absolutely no refunds. No payments at the door unless arranged with LA Prep staff. We accept cash, cashiers check, money order, via square invoice, and credit/debit card. Actors may mail in payment as long as it is received prior to the Lab session date. CONFIRMATION
Date is marked officially yours once payment is made and cleared. LAB FEEs / Rates ACTORS rates
$30 per Lab per actor or $50 for both Tuesday and Wednesday labs. All actors must pay in advance with cash, money order, cashiers check, or credit/debit card. You will receive an invoice at time of reservation. MATERIALS
All materials used and methods learned within the Lab belong to the owners of LA Prep and may not leave the Lab area or be repeated for any reason without prior express permission. COPYRIGHT
All activities, methods, lessons, etc. learned in the Lab belong to the owners and may not be used in conjunction with any other organization or individually without prior express permission. Actors may practice in the privacy of their own homes. However, NO ONE is permitted to meet as a group and study or practice any of these techniques, outside of LA Prep Actors Lab without express prior approval. Actors may NOT for any reason share our methods with other teachers, coaches, instructors, agents, managers, actors, etc. for ANY reason!! BONUSES FOR REGULARS
Actors who are part of LA Prep Actors Lab for three months in a row
(with minimum of one day per week participation = 12 Lab sessions completed) may be selected to take part in "Ultimate Shoot" an actual production which could be commercial, DVD instructional, short film, Hosting, PSA, Industrial, feature, etc. WE LOOK FORWARD TO HAVING A WONDERFUL AND EXCITING LA PREP SEASON TOGETHER!
