AAU NQ Update

The AAU National Qualifier is only four weeks away; June 1, 2024 @ Cal Lutheran University! www.aau-tkd.com

Here are important updates.
- The Sport Poomsae requirement will be announced this weekend!
- The regular registration will end on May 15, 2024!
- We will not accept any more new weight-in stations after May 15th! We will send the rules and procedures to all qualified masters.
- The Video Weith In will be on May 31 (Friday), from 3 pm - 6 pm!
- The late registration will end on May 29th!
All coaches, please be aware that the background check takes 3-4 days to pass, so be sure to get your membership and coaching certification on time, as well as the required AAU coaches poll shirts.
- Daedo socks are required for all sparring competitors!

RIP Gm. Jimmy Kim,

The memorial for Gm. Jimmy Kim was heart-wrenching, inspiring, and full of life lessons. He was too young to pass, and our hearts ached to see his family grieving. We sincerely hope this gathering of the TKD community and our respect for this man comforted his family and made them proud of the legacy he left behind.

Even in his passing, he inadvertently taught us how to live a life worth remembering. Testimonial after testimonial, it was clear that he will be remembered for his incredible athletic accomplishment and the kindness he has shown so many people.

Having him as the AAU national team coach and our district member was a special privilege. Thank you for your mentorship and all you have done for many TKD athletes. We pray for all that time, energy, and effort, Gm. Jimmy Kim poured onto others and will abundantly come back to bless the family he left behind.

Tournament Update!

Thank you, everyone, for your support! Our tournament staff and volunteers are working hard to make the best event ever, finally returning to our form before the pandemic!

- Today is the last day of registration is May 4th (12 midnight)!
We will send the call numbers for the weigh-in to coaches only! All weight-in has to be conducted by an experienced coach or referee we know and trust.

- If you need to change your weight, do it now for free. There will be a $50 penalty when you make us change the bracket for not making the weight. Please email your request to [email protected].

- Call Time: please check the previous announcement on the call time for various ages and events.
Bring your headgear! We use Daedo overlay sensors for world-class cadets, juniors, and seniors. Corner judges will determine the head contact for other divisions.

- Direction & Parking: Please look for 'GM', in the below link for the specific direction. Parking is free.

- Entrance: $10 for everyone, free for 5 and under. Please prepare cash.

- Food: We will have a Mexican food vendor, and Individual Pizzas in a box. Please make sure to bring your cash or use Venmo for the purchase.

- Tip! : The gym has a spacious terrace right outside the gym. We encourage our guests to bring their beach chairs for their own comfort before and after their children's competition.

- Weather: It is expected to be in the low 60s for most of the day. It is going to be cool and chilly.
