Last week at HOPE YX, we had 17 young people declare their faith in Christ by getting water baptized, after making their decision at YX SUMMER CAMP. We are so proud of each one of them!

Today we celebrate the formal declaration of freedom made for all slaves in our country on June 19, 1865. Jesus came to set the captives free and we stand with His prophetic words declared in Luke 4:18-19, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for He has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come. ”

Let us not “just pretend to love others, let us really love them. Let us hate what is wrong and hold tightly to what is good. Let us love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.”

Honoring all fathers this Sunday! Happy Father’s Day to all the biological fathers, foster fathers, adoptive fathers, single fathers, spiritual fathers, mentors, fathers who have been lost, and fathers in waiting. May you feel appreciated, respected, and honored by those around you. We are thankful for everything you do for us as well as the identity and purpose you speak over us. Happy Father’s Day!
