The food pantry in the Knollwood housing development area of Rapid City is working hard to bring their community together, which has resulted in families being fed and a reduction in local crime.

Beginning August 14, the Pierre mobile distribution at River Cities Public Transit will be moved to Oahe Sports Complex. It will run from 11am-1pm.

At the Feeding South Dakota Rapid City Distribution Center, our regular volunteer brought their grandkids along for a day of giving back. During a break, the kids built an impressive tower of noodlesβonly to have it toppled by our mischievous Operations Manager, Kimberly Wallace! π Moments like these remind us of the joy and community spirit that fill our days.
Did you know avocados were once called "alligator pears"? ππ₯ Their bumpy green skin inspired this unique nickname! Over time, the name "avocado" took over, derived from the Aztec word "ahuacatl."

This last weekend at the 11th Annual Prime Time Gala, they generously presented Feeding South Dakota with a donation of $303,622 on-stage at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. This incredible contribution brings the total donations from the Cattlemen's Foundation to an astounding $2,720,044!
