💘 Sage is a shy, quiet and tiny 8 pound girl looking for her "furever home."
🖤 She is a black and cream long hair breeder release who has been with DDR since the end of June.
🤩 Sage is just over 4 years old.
👏 She is potty pad trained and is learning to do her business outside.
🏡 She is not leash trained yet, so a fenced yard is a must.
🐕 She gets along well with other dogs, but her favorite pastime is snuggling with a human.

With many kids returning to school in a few weeks, it's important to start prepping pets for these changes – especially if your pet has never experienced being alone all day. Talk to your family veterinarian if you have any questions or concerns!

Dakota Dachshund Rescue's little heart defect girl Echo, is having a really punk weekend 💔 She isn't eating well, she obviously feels punk 😢
Our Benji is her protector, her solice ❤️
Prayers for Echo 🙏🙏
Thank goodness Echo and I travel to see her Cardiology team at Veterinary Medical Center at UMN in St Paul on Thursday for her recheck
🙏🙏 I pray daily there will be a break through in pulmonary hypertension therapy that can extend her life expectancy.

Rest in peace sweet Juniper 🙏🌹💔
Juniper went to the Rainbow Bridge yesterday 💔
Juniper found her way to Dakota Dachshund Rescue in April of 2023 the two bottom pictures are of what her original tumor looked like and the size of it when Dr Paul removed it. Juniper had a hard time walking as the tumor hung between her back legs and it almost touch the ground 😢
Thank goodness Juniper found Joey and Doug to care for her ❤️ they learned to use a belly band around her middle to hold the tumor up.
After her surgery she became a puppy again, playing with toys and having the freedom of running around the yard, attending Find the Queen events at JJ's and other events.
Pathology reports came back as a cancerous lesion. We prayed it would not come back but unfortunately it did just a short time back 💔😭
This tumor grew with a vengeance, far different looking than the last one. This one was very vascular with nodules, the cancer was obviously in Juniper's bloodstream.
Joey and Doug never left her alone, she was either riding in Doug's pickup or at work with Joey. They still brought Juniper to Find the Queen events at Obscure Brewing. She knew Doug always had treats in his pocket for her ❤️
Thank you so much for giving her so much love and an amazing home ❤️
Juniper was 12 years old, she celebrated her birthday with Joey and Doug 2 months ago.

It breaks my heart we could not have done more.
