The Fireworks had a great time at State Summer Games. Our athletes competed well, new friends were made and we had fun with all our friends from around the state. Enjoy the pictures!!
We are excited!! Heading to USD campus for State Summer Games. Track, volleyball, soccer, swimming and Powerlifting! They have it all. Tonight will be Opening Ceremonies and tomorrow we start competition. Our car is loaded with the Summer Games shirts, lanyards and more. See you there!!!
If you are riding the bus today, we start loading at 4:30 and bus leaves at 4:45 from Lowe’s at 26th & I-29 exit.

Area Swim Meet will be held at:
Midco Aquatics Center
1601 S Western Ave, Sioux Falls, SD
Notes:
· Fireworks Athletes and spectators need to enter the East door of the Midco Aquatic Center
· Doors will open at 12:30 pm
· Fireworks Athletes should be in the designated area on the pool deck by 12:45 pm
· Opening Ceremonies are scheduled to begin at 12:45 pm
· Fireworks Team Towels will be provided for the event by the Fireworks Delegation
· No outside food or drink is allowed; you may bring a water bottle
· Concessions will be available for spectators
Additional Notes:
· Area participation is required to attend the State Tournament.
· Fireworks does not provide transportation or chaperone at this event.

Spring Games with no rain??? They usually go hand in hand. Although we didn’t have any sun; we did stay dry. Fireworks won lots of ribbons and had loads of fun today. Thanks to all of volunteers, parents, siblings and staff for the help. Two more practices and we are off to USD, Vermillion for State Summer Games on May 16-18.
The State is still planning to have Southeast Area Track. Please plan accordingly for the weather as it will be wet and cold. Tell athletes to bring extra shoes and socks if possible.
Are you ready Fireworks Athletes? The SE Area Track is this Saturday in Brandon. Please be there at 8:30 am. The Fireworks do not provide transportation or chaperones at this event. The athlete’s family, guardians or staff will be responsible for getting your athletes to their event. Lunch will be provided to all registered athletes and volunteers. We are hoping for a sun-filled, rain-free day! See you soon.

It’s a beautiful day for Track practice!
We have the best athletes and volunteers. The Fireworks athletes braved the 30+ mph winds yesterday at track practice. We have no pictures because our volunteers were hanging on tight to the paperwork!!!! Our athletes made no complaints and everyone worked together to get our times and measurements done. Thanks to everyone!!
The Fireworks community is saddened with the loss of Scott McGee. He died peacefully in his sleep this Easter morning. Scott will be remember for his great love for sports all over the Sioux Falls area. His huge smile was contagious. We will miss you Scotty.

The Saturday Only Schedule was previously posted.
-There are no opening ceremonies.
-No dinner/dance.
-Rolling game schedule- if the game before you is done early, you will start early. Be at your location and ready to play.
-CHEER: times and location did not change 10am-Noon @ DWU Sports Complex, I do not know if awards will be presented after or at the same time as the teams. It is not noted on the schedule provided. We will wait to see on Saturday. After you eat lunch, please go cheer on the teams playing at the CAC for the afternoon. You will leave after team awards are completed as well.

6:30 am Buses arrives at Lowes (NW Corner of Parking Lot)
6:45 am Begin Load Bus
7:00 am Buses Departs (No stops)
8:15 am Buses Arrives at Christen Family Athletic Complex

Athletes will be dropped off at their 1st game locations by 8:30 am and coaches will assume responsibility at that time. Lunches will be brought to you starting at 11:30am. Once your last game is complete, go to LB Williams for awards. Bus loading will begin around 5pm as awards are completed. The bus will leave after all awards are given.
-Athletes NOT riding the bus: please arrive at your 1st game locations by 8:45 am. Lunches will be brought to you starting at 11:30am. Once your last game is complete, go to LB Williams for awards. Once your team has received their award you may leave.

Saturday: All athletes are asked to be at your 1st game locations by 8:45 am. 1st games start at 9:15 am
Don’t forget your uniform! The Fireworks uniform is required to participate.
Cheer athletes: your uniform is the cheerleading t-shirt, warm-up pants & tennis shoes.
Basketball & Skills athletes: your uniform is the gold & black jersey with our Fireworks badge, the black shorts with our Fireworks badge & tennis shoes.
