The shirts and race numbers are all ready to go for early pick this weekend at Marathon Sports on Mass Ave in Cambridge! Thanks to all the members of SRR who moved and organized dozens and dozens of boxes this afternoon in preparation for this weekend!

We highly encourage runners to make plans to pick up their shirts and race numbers during the following times:

-Saturday, November 18th from 10am to 6pm
-Sunday, November 19th from 11am to 6pm

Some Somerville turkeys are a little early to be lining up at the start line of the Gobble Gobble Gobble! They still have a little under three weeks to go!

You know that the Gobble Gobble Gobble is your favorite Thanksgiving Day turkey trot through Davis Square in Somerville, MA, and perhaps you've heard that registration is now open for the 27th running of the Gobble (link in bio).

We've raised over $350K for local charities in the past 10 years, and we're excited to keep that tradition going this year.

That's why we're so excited to tell you about the Gobble's newest charity partner!

Introducing Stride for Stride ( )
As we all know, races can get expensive, which can prevent some folks from ever getting to the starting line. Stride for Stride's goal is to give everyone an equal opportunity to race and experience the life-changing benefits of running. Their solution is both simple and effective; they purchase race registrations for people who otherwise can't afford them. They focus on serving immigrants, BIPOC and low-income runners.

You can also support Stride for Stride by registering for the Gobble (https://www.srr.org/gobble). When we first learned about Stride for Stride last year, the race committee decided to donate a portion of the Gobble race proceeds to this awesome up-and-coming local charity. It's wonderful to see how much they've grown over the past year, and we're excited to help them keep expanding this year.

Volunteer for the Gobble Gobble Gobble!

Start October right by signing up to volunteer for the Gobble Gobble Gobble! This is our largest club run race and many volunteers are needed for a successful event. You can volunteer and run the race!

All volunteers get a coveted Gobble Gobble Gobble shirt and priority entry to The Burren afterparty. There will be a raffle (prize TBD) for volunteers. Everyone who volunteers will be entered in the raffle, non-runners who volunteer for number pickup, t-shirt pickup, bag check, bag return, and the finish line water stop will get two raffle entries, and course marshals will get three raffle entries.

Do you still need to pick up your bib and race shirt?

Race day bib and shirt pick-up starts at 7am and goes until 8:45am on Thursday in Seven Hill Park in Davis Square.

There is no bib or shirt pick-up at Marathon Sports this week.
