Members of the WATCH Art Guild generously volunteered their time to assist Barbara Bussler from Black Bear Mosaics in completing a magnificent dragonfly mosaic project at Camp Tuolumne Trails. Collaborating alongside talented individuals such as Barbara Klahn, Dianne Stearns, Elizabeth Gomez, Jane Taylor, Jerry Baker, and Susie Peyton, we delved into the intricacies of applying mosaics directly onto concrete surfaces. The experience was enriching, and everyone involved found great joy in the creative process. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to Barbara for extending this opportunity to us and allowing us to collaborate with her and other skilled artists. Thank you immensely for your generosity and mentorship!

Sonora, CA February 27, 2024– WATCH Resources Inc., a non-profit dedicated to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is thrilled to announce the unveiling of a breathtaking mosaic mural created by our talented artists. The unveiling ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at The Law Office of Tamara Polley, located at 242 S. Washington St. in downtown Sonora, at 10:00am.

Measuring an impressive 10ft x 8ft, the mosaic mural is a vibrant and captivating work of art that showcases the creativity, skill, and passion of the artists involved. Each mosaic tile was carefully selected and arranged to depict a powerful message advocating for conservation and environmental stewardship, reflecting the artists' commitment to making a positive impact on their community and the world around them.

We are incredibly proud of the artists who have poured their hearts and souls into this project. Their dedication, talent, and resilience shine through in every brushstroke, tile, and mosaic piece of this stunning artwork. We are excited to share their masterpiece with the community and inspire others to join us in advocating for conservation and sustainability.

The unveiling ceremony will feature remarks from Tamara Polley Attorney at Law, Clint Bower-Executive Director of WATCH, Janet Kasper-United Way and other City and County dignitaries as well as other staff from WATCH Resources, along with the artists themselves. Attendees will have the opportunity to view the mural up close, meet the artists, and learn more about the important message behind the artwork.

"We are grateful to the sponsors, volunteers, and community members who have supported us throughout this project," The California Arts Council, California Heartland Creative Corps, United Way, Tuolumne County Arts. "Their generosity and dedication have been instrumental in bringing this mural to life, and we look forward to celebrating this milestone together."

Good Morning, WATCH will be on a 2 hour delay today February 8th, 2024.

Yesterday, we believed we had completed the firing processes for our ceramic components. However, we realized that we had decided to add a raccoon last week, so while every original ceramic component is now complete, we will add in the little guy later. He will be hugging the bear's left leg.

With the original ceramics ready for the next step, we are moving forward with cutting the Go-Board. Furthermore, we have finalized the design with Boone's Memorial's for the information plaque, and the order has been placed. It should be finished and ready for pick-up in approximately 2 weeks. This is indeed an exciting time for us!
