On May 21, 2024 at 1:00 pm, we will hold our ninth annual Senior Walk for Dorman High School Students that attended Arcadia Elementary School. Please share with any graduates that you know.

Today we celebrated our Read-A-Thon participants. The class that read the most received an ice cream party, and our top fundraising class received a pizza party. We appreciate everyone's participation and hope our 1st graders enjoyed their treats.
Mrs. Kittredge and Ms. Smithโs class completed multiplication fact quizzes to earn ice cream and toppings. Today the students earned their reward.
Our 4th graders were introduced to the musical world of band, orchestra, and chorus with a visit from 8th graders at Fairforest. 5th graders were also able to enjoy our short concert. We were excited to see some of our former AES gators among the students!

We had an AMAZING time at Field Day today! It was an absolute blast filled with sunshine, laughter, and awesome games! Students enjoyed snow cones and a picnic lunch!
๐ฟ๐ฆ๐ Third grade has been diving into the fascinating world of biomes, and it's been a blast! Today, they put their creativity to the test by crafting their favorite biome out of LEGO bricks. From lush rainforests to icy tundras, these young minds have built some truly incredible ecosystems. Who knew learning could be this much fun?

Students will receive their yearbooks tomorrow during Field Day.

4K Applications for 2024-2025 School Year
1. In order to schedule a 4K screening, all documents must be received at the CDC as soon as possible.
2. The first wave of 4K screening appointments will end May 16th
3. The Summer screenings will be offered only at the CDC and will be during June and July.
Girls Running Club finished out the spring season by running in the Tails and Trails 5K this morning! They did a fantastic job and won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in their age group! We're so proud of their hard work and commitment to running!
Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6th-10th!
Please take the time to thank your childโs teachers throughout the week as each AES faculty and staff member has worked extremely hard to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of our students this year.
Mrs. Earle's class researched animals then built shoebox habitats and made the animals from clay. They then presented their habitats to kindergarten and taught the students about their animals.
Today is School Lunch Hero Day! We ๐our cafeteria staff and appreciate everything they do!
Today Mrs. Hammett's class took a virtual field trip to the San Diego Zoo. While exploring the zoo, they shared facts that we've learned about each animal.
First grade had a fabulous trip to Strawberry Hill today! They learned about what it takes to get juicy strawberries to grow, picked some to try, and enjoyed some ice cream to cool off! Sunshine and strawberries are the perfect combination!

The 1st graders created butterfly notes of encouragement for the testing classes this morning! We had a great day of testing. Please encourage your students to do their best on tomorrow's test!
The rain doesn't get third grade down. Classes are enjoying indoor recess being creative and problem solvers.
Arcadia's School Improvement Council met today to discuss upcoming events. As part of their meeting, they were able to tour the school and see all the wonderful things that are happening.
