Live Well Counseling
This is the page for Live Well Counseling where Lee Salkin practices mental health and addictions counseling.
Time is running out!!!
There are still some spaces available.
I hope to see you there!
A member of my immediate family has contracted COVID. While I currently exhibit no symptoms and have tested negative so far, as a precautionary measure I am returning to virtual only via doxy.me starting on June 24th, 2022. I will attempt to reach those already scheduled prior to their appointment. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Su***de Prevention Lifeline. While some areas may be currently able to connect to the Lifeline by dialing 988, this dialing code will be available to everyone across the United States starting on July 16, 2022.
When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing National Su***de Prevention Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.
The current Lifeline phone number (1-800-273-8255) will always remain available to people in emotional distress or suicidal crisis, even after 988 is launched nationally.
Due to the recent increase of cases in Spokane County
https://www.doh.wa.gov/Emergencies/COVID19/DataDashboard
and personal exposure (I tested negative), Live Well Counseling will be pivoting to virtual sessions.
I will be using the doxy.me site. Please contact me for my specific "waiting room" address.
I will return to in person sessions when case numbers and hospitalization rates to October 2021 levels. If you have any questions, please contact me.

COVID-19 Data Dashboard The Department of Health and Microsoft's AI for Health team have partnered to create the interactive data dashboard below.
Due to the weather, I will not be available Thursday, January 6th. 2022.
Stay safe.
Stay warm.

Weather Reminder
Since the weather has taken this opportunity to remind us that it is winter, I would like to remind all my clients that if the schools in Spokane or Spokane Valley close due to weather conditions, I will also not be in the office that day.
While I may make the attempt to switch to virtual, I may be unable to do so for technical/privacy reasons. I will make my best effort on those days to inform those scheduled clients as soon as I am able. I will also try to post on the Live Well Counseling Facebook and Twitter an cancellations and/or schedule changes.
If you, the client, is unable to make it to a session, please let me know as soon as possible. I do not tend to charge No Show Fees for situations beyond your control (such as weather) if you make a reasonable effort to inform me. If I am given enough advanced warning, I may be able to switch the session to virtual. There is no guarantee.
Stay safe and Live Well!

Since there seems to be some movement in our current situation, Washington is setting to 'reopen' the state in 4 distinct phases. When we move to a stage is dependant on the health, safety, and wellbeing of the citizens not specific dates.
With that in mind, I plan to resume seeing clients at my office towards the end of Phase 3. Hopefully, this will be by the end of June. For insurance and billing reasons I will be significantly lessening Teletherapy sessions in favor of face-to-face contact. When individual clients will actual be able to return to direct sessions will be on a case-by-case basis.

Reminder: As of Monday, April 6th I will ONLY be seeing clients remotely. Either by doxy.me or phone. The exception are new clients who have already been scheduled. If you have any questions, please contact me at: 509-299-0945 & [email protected]
I will continue to post updates here, on Twitter (), and my web site.
Stay healthy and Live Well!
Due to the current infection rate of COVID-19 and the suggested protocols, I will only be seeing clients by telehealth via doxy.me starting on Monday, April 6th 2020.
Current clients will be given the address for the virtual ‘waiting room’ upon request.
I completely understand the difficulties this may cause, but I feel an obligation to do what I can to reduce the risk to myself, my family, and my clients.
I will continue to post updates on my website (leesalkin.wordpress.com), Facebook, and on Twitter ().
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, comments, or concerns by phone or email only.
Stay healthy and….

During this time of social distancing, I have decided to start offering Tele-Therapy via doxy.me. It is HIPPA compliant, so your privacy can be assured and it is more than just a phone call (I will do those as well, if needed).
If you are an existing client, please contact me if you are interested. You can get a hold of me by phone, text, or e-mail and we will set up an appointment. In order to even be more accesable, I also recommend you follow Live Well Counseling on Twitter: . I will frequently post updates as needed.

I have been selected for jury duty starting on Monday, October 8th through Friday, October 19th. Because jury selection is done daily, I will not know when I will be in the office these weeks. Therefore I will not be putting anyone on my schedule. If you are already scheduled during this time period, please plan on coming to your session unless I contact you to inform you otherwise.
I will try to monitor my e-mail and voicemail while I am away, but if you feel you need quicker assistance call First Call For Help at (509) 838-4428.
Thank you for your patience.
