Hey everyone next week is that most wonderful time…swearing in time! Mayor Elect Lisa Brown and I will take our oath of office on December 27th at the Downtown Library at 5pm. Please RSVP here! https://betterwayspokane.com/rsvp/
Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! How about that sunrise this morning?
The future is looking brighter with robust apprenticeship programs! Last week was National Apprenticeship Week and it was exciting to learn about so many great programs in Eastern Washington. Check out this recap in The Stand. https://www.thestand.org/2023/11/national-apprenticeship-week-lives-on/
Thank you election workers for all that you do for our democracy. These groups that are trying to cast doubt on mail in elections are trying to suppress participation in our democracy. They must not win!
Spokane County elections office one of several in state evacuated, white powdery substance found SPOKANE, Wash - Spokane County's elections office was evacuated Wednesday morning, as someone discovered a white powdery substance.
We did it! Thank you so much to the many many people who earned this decisive victory in Northwest Spokane with me! More soon!
Today’s the day!
Call and text your friends and family! Let’s get those ballots in!
It’s the final countdown and the rain is a real challenge. We will be hosting INDOOR get out the vote calls at Lisa Brown’s office at 709 N Monroe ALL DAY until 7 pm. Drop in any time! No experience necessary, phones or Google Voice instructions provided.
Typically only half of voters have voted by now—they need reminders!
If you can’t join a phone banking please call or text five or more of your friends and remind them to vote! Most voters appreciate the reminder.
Give us a call if you have questions. 509 903-8641
Had a great time sign waving this morning! I am grateful for every one of you who waved back, smiled and beeped! It was heartwarming to see your smiling faces! Shout out to the many bus drivers and sanitation workers we saw this morning INCLUDING my daughter’s school bus driver, Thomas—who does an amazing job every morning! Thanks to our amazing sign waving volunteers who showed up in the chilly rain to sign wave Maple and NW BLVD today! Now for some cozy phone banking and some doorbelling after this rain lets up!
So many cats greeted our doorbelling crews today. It’s a sign! We had very productive doorbelling sessions with the Washington Bus and Pro Choice Washington working to turn out young voters and some of our regular doorbellers in four different neighborhoods today! Phonebanking is happening right now! Thank you so much to all the volunteers and organizations that are the backbone of grassroots campaigns!
These candidates share our values & priorities, and have a vision where every young person can succeed in Spokane County.
Join us in voting for them TODAY & remind three friends and family to vote too!
Thanks to everyone who came out to doorbell in the rain or phone bank in the office today! Our efforts in these last four days are critical. Half of all voters are last minute voters and most of them are busy, cool people—look at this door mat I saw today! We have tons of volunteer opportunities in these last few days. Get in touch at VoteForKitty.com!
Whether it’s indoor or outdoor volunteering with our campaign is always fun. You can help us cross the finish line with a clear win on Tuesday. Visit VoteForKitty.com to contact us about volunteering!
Thanks to veteran neighborhood council leader Teresa Kafentzis for your letter in this morning’s paper!

📅 General Election: Nov. 7, 2023
👻🫣🎃🙀Now for something very scary. According to the last PDC reports, outside interests (mostly development interests and Larry Stone) have spent more money trying to make people afraid to vote for me with misleading attack ads than the total amount my campaign has spent so far in this election. They have also spent a whopping $102,000 supporting my opponent!
The good news is we can fight back for FREE with grassroots action! Please tell your friends and family to VOTE today! Together we can write a happy ending to this story! Let’s make 2023 the year we proved that outside money can’t buy elections in Northwest Spokane! We still have time to make a difference, over half of people vote in the last week of the election!

I am hearing from a lot of people that another attack text came out with the same old assertions. The BEST way to stop the madness is to vote ASAP to get yourself off their lists! Please check out my other posts for links to articles and debates if you are still on the fence. Here is a Spokesman Review piece about attack ads.

Thanks Kevin for your letter in today’s paper! I agree that doing your homework is an important part of working for better public policy. While my opponent has admitted in debates that she still hasn’t taken a look at our city’s budget or city council’s role in it. I have a plan to work toward a balanced budget and retain high standards for essential public services!
