With the 4th of July right around the corner, it is important to start preparing for our pets' safety and comfort. The loud noises and parties can pose a serious risk to our pets if we are not prepared. If you need medication to help ease your pet's anxiety, please give us a call asap. Lilac City Veterinary Services is looking for a dedicated, compassionate licensed veterinary technician to join our small team. We are a rapidly growing practice that provides high-quality, fast-paced medicine. An ideal candidate would be able to multi-task and handle a variety of different medical and surgical cases with veterinary guidance. We strive to provide a comfortable and inclusive work environment with potential to expand on your knowledge and skill-set over time. The LVTs, assistants and receptionists within our clinic are vital to our success and are provided the tools and training that is necessary for that success.
Your duties would include the following:
- Assist doctors with examinations, treatments and procedures
- Formulate anesthetic protocols with doctor guidance and assist in anesthetic procedures
- Assist with dentistry, sedation, imaging and anesthetic monitoring
- Perform technician appointments such as toe nail trims, a**l gland expression, SQ fluid administration, vaccine administration, bandage changes, etc.
- Discuss exam and diagnostic results and recommendations with owners with guidance of doctors
- Go over discharge instructions/at-home care with owners
- Maintain hospital equipment
- Clean and sterilize surgical instruments, drapes, gowns, etc.
- Educate clients on basic husbandry, vaccines, basic ailments, etc.

She has many years of experience in both general and emergency veterinary medicine and has worked closely with Dr. Morgan in the past. If you know Dr. Stokes, you know that she is an amazing doctor and we are excited to have her in the clinic.
