After completing High School+ in March, Michelle Rutter immediately enrolled in SCC’s general AA-DTA degree program.
“There was more to this than just getting a GED. I wanted more for myself and now I can get that,” Rutter said.

SCC is hosting two FAFSA Workshops:
FAFSA Night: February 21, 4:00pm - 7:00pm
FAFSA Day: February 22, 9:30am - 1:00pm
Financial Aid staff will be available to answer your questions, help with your FSA ID and submitting your FAFSA.

This is certainly a meaningful occasion worthy of celebration. Only the few truly dedicated individuals are able to complete the Skilled Trades Preparation Program. Their commitment to learning the skills and training to succeed as an apprentice in the trades are recognized.
If you are interested in construction, realize that there are many opportunities for high-paying careers in construction trades apprenticeships. Many employers are looking for people interested in learning a trade. The SCC Skilled Trades Preparation introduces you to the skills and training you need to succeed as an apprentice, no matter what trade you choose.

Terrance’s statement: From the military to faith-based work and entrepreneurship, I have always enjoyed working with young adults and making a difference in their lives. Working at the Next Generation Zone has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of my life, and I am so glad to be part of such a fantastic team. I came to Spokane as part of the military and have been a part of this community for over ten years with my family. I am a lifelong learner, as I am currently pursuing my doctorate. I love cooking various cuisines, traveling, woodworking, and playing my PS5 in my spare time.
