Some really great comedians come from Canada. From the cast of SCTV to the cast of Kids in The Hall, there’s always som funny junk coming out of northern neighbors. So NOW, enter prosciutto. From CANADA! So is it Canadian bacon? Not quite. It’s a really good ham…done in the traditional ways. We slice it thinner than paper, put some dijonaisse on there. Then we scatter some blackberries, basil & cucumber from our best farmer friend Dan Jackson all around. It’s a pretty great snack, ay?

I was gonna come up with a totally spaced out post about attending Melon Camp as a kid. Complete with cougar sightings, pink cabins, tastee freeze, and a couple of camp counselors named Jack & Diane. But I don’t get paid enough. That being said, come purchase THIS melon salad. Dashi vinaigrette, crispy ginger & chili aioli. Summer time stunner alert. Shove. It. Thru. Your. Teeth. We are OPEN 4-9 for dinner. Make a reservation if that’s your bag. Otherwise pop in unannounced. We don’t care.

I think mine is Culture Club. But Boy George do I love a good CLUB SANDWICH. This one has a basil & caper mayonnaise, heirloom tomatoes, Turkey, Ham & bacon. It’s popping through the froth on our menu. Head of the class….you should try one. Or do you really want to hurt me?
Yep. We still have sandwiches. It was in the paper and everything. Words are meaningless. Sandwiches are delicious.

Tomato schnitzel, dressed with schmaltz & capers + the color yellow. Yellow enhances concentration by giving the brain and nervous system a “wake-up” call. It’s also known for its warmth and energy (the Sun). Let us be your Sun Gods this week. We’ll keep you as warm as you need. Then again, the sun is doing a pretty good job of that right now. What happens when you take some super great mussels and some super great chorizo and make a dish? A Jean Claude Van Damn good snack. We shuck some mussels, then we render out some fat from some Spanish chorizo and make a chorizo mayonnaise. Then we take the lil’ crispy bits of chorizo and toast it even more with some bread crumbs. All piled in to some toast with celery leaves and mint. MUSSEL TOAST is born. Snack on one soon
The old saying, “You can’t beat a dead horse” originated when it is was acceptable to beat your horse to make it run faster. I’m not really in to slappin’ ponies (😵💫), but it got me thinking. Beats and Horses. Beets and Horsey. We offer you this: roasted beets, horsey mayo, celery leaves, capers & crispy onions. Summer snacks that will make you neigh.

New stuff dropping for the next few days. Like this pork dish with harissa, grilled zucchini, coriander yogurt & mint. It tastes great in our super chilly dining room. Come freeze.

I’m not sure if Kermit the Frog filed a law suit or not, but I’ll always side with a Muppet before a puppet, am I right? Anyhow…I will sell you ONE thing in this picture. BATCH ONE IPA in tall boys.
